Advantages: earn money listening to music!
Disadvantages: occasional adverts, not good on a slow link
http://www.radiofreecash.com/
Ever sat in the office with a pile of CDs you're bored of listening to and wondered where all this free music is on the net? Well, if you aren't into downloading mp3s to play locally, and want to earn some cash at the same time, try Radio Free Cash.
They are currently on a trial run, which is about to end - rather than earn cash, you can earn 15-pound amazon vouchers, which are meant to represent "a cd". Sign people up under your name, and earn more CDs (although you need to sign up a ridiculous number of people before you earn anything that way), listen to over 600 hours of radio, earn CDs, plus you earn a % of what your refered people earn.
As of July, their 'proper' version starts up, which pays cash. You have to prove you are listening by responding to occasional prompts in the music - you have to correctly respond to around 3 out of 5 prompts (check site for details), and once you do, your cash is being accumulated.
Currently they fund the site using occasional adverts which break the music, which can be a little annoying. But they compensate by having a really good selection of channels you can pick from - classical, new age, eighties, etc.

- 28/06/00 Easy to do, just one problem, if your computer crashes you lose all the minutes for that session.
Waiting for GC from May.
Will see how it goes, not given up on it yet. |
