!Hola! Me llamo Sarah y hablo espanol - thanks to Coffee Break Spanish!

Studying Spanish is quite difficult for me as I already speak Italian. This of course is great to understand the Spanish Grammar as it is practically the same, the pronunciation on the other side is incredibly difficult for me as I always pronounce words the Italian way. Everything gets mixed up and in the end everyone is confused. When I said instead of "I like you" "I'd like to sleep with you" to the mum of a friend I knew that it was time to improve my Spanish as soon as possible!

I started several times to study Spanish with the help of books and vocabulary cards but it never worked, I understood the grammar but couldn't pronounce a single word.

Coffee Break Spanish managed to do what others couldn't and within weeks I had a decent vocabulary and even more important I could pronounce all these new words. And all of this without hard work, just by simply listening to my mp3 player when walking to work and during my lunch break - hence the name Coffee Break Spanish.

On the website you can download 40 pod-casts and put them on your IPod/mp3 player etc. Each Podcast lasts around 15min and is a small Spanish lesson.

The download is free and you don't have to sign up for anything.
However, there is a small fee if you want extra help and exercises. I don't use them and I don't think they are really worth it. The pod casts are good enough to learn Spanish.

The lessons are easy to understand and start from teaching you how to say 'Hello' to how to use the past tense.
Sentences and words are often repeated with breaks to say them aloud to get used to actually speaking it.

The single podcast centre around one topic or one group of words. I'll describe two podcast for you so you'll see how they are structured.

Podcast 1: Introduction and explanation how it works. The teacher Mark helps the Student Cara to learn Spanish. You'll learn together with here.
In the first podcast you'll learn how to say Hello, How are you and the possible answers. That's it. Sounds too easy but that's the whole concept of the podcast, you can listen to it easily and pick up some new words and phrases without spending ages studying vocab.

Podcast 11: Here you'll learn how to ask if someone speaks a certain language and to say that indeed you speak this language. Little conversations like:
-Do you speak Spanish. - Yes I do speak Spanish.
are repeated several times and it's easy to pick theses very important sentences up.

I really love it and it helped me a lot to improve my Spanish. The focus is more on speaking the language than learning all aspects of the Grammar.
The whole "Studying together with Cara" concept is great, she'll make mistakes that are very common (mistakes I made too) and than Mark the teacher will explain her in detail what was wrong and how to improve it.

The atmosphere is very cheerful, you'll have fun while listening to the pod casts!

I downloaded all the pod casts at once and put some on my mp3 player. I'll listen for 3 days to one one f them till I'm sure that I understood everything, then go to the next and do the same.
It takes 15min a days and because you can but them on your mp3 player you are free to listen to them whenever you want, while driving, during your break, while being at the gym etc.

A great way to study Spanish - so good that you forget the actual "studying" part!
