I used Ratedpeople.com for the first time and was pleased with the job that phillip holloway decorating services did.Caulked around all windows and doors before applying 3 coats sandtex masonry paint to my newly rendered bungalow.He was a nice person and turned up when agreed.I am pleased with the finished result.

Ghyllside Builders responded quickly regarding the problems with my leaking roof and carried out all the work promptly. They replaced felt and lead, repaired the fire wall, replaced a faulty gutter, and dealt with other matters pertaining to rain damage. I'm happy to have them return to do less urgent work later in the year.At all times Alan Purton emailed photos of the state of the roof, the ongoing repair, and the completion of the repairs, and his charge for all this was reasonable. All rubbish was cleared up, and the staff were quiet and pleasant over the time they were here.I would recommend Ghyllside to anyone with roof problems.

I had Lukasz from rated people decorate my bathroom he did a great job including putting up plaster boards to cover the horrid ceiling I had, he also put in spotlights which made such a difference in the bathroom, painted the walls and skirting boards. He did a great job, would use him again.

Rated.com is the worst site on the internet. This site is monitored and all negative comments are taken off. But the customer cannot comment! Hi folks, Like the last poster, Jill, I've recently started using George from Perecz gardens. He's been quite excellent from day one, no complaints at all. So, my experience of rated people has been very good. This has been the first time I used the site though, judging by some of the other reviews it would appear myself and Jill struck it very lucky.J

I used Rated People and found a great gardener in George from Perecz Gardens. He is a good worker, cleans up and does everything asked of him. My garden now looks great. He is a very nice man and I thoroughly recommend him.

I used a tradesman from RatedPeople who was basically a con man and a very good one at that !I subsequently discovered he had a criminal background and had a number of failed companies behind him.After much discussion with RatedPeople I managed to leave accurate negative feedback - but it wasn't easy. To this day he is still on RatedPeople but at least my feedback is there.I've taken him to county court and won but doubt I'll actually see any money as he's good at hiding.I wouldn't trust RatedPeople as clearly they are on the tradesman side.

I used rated people for the first time and would definitly use them again, i used LG Electrical Services for a small job. The electrician was on time, did the job on a day that was convenient for me, was friendly and charged a very good price. I would use him again and recomend the site to family and friends.

don`t touch rated people. they don`t care as long as they get your money. I was asked if I would like to join rated people. sounded all good they said they would give me a free trial. so thinking this sounds good I stupidly gave them my bank details, two weeks later they had took 100 pounds out of my bank.phone them to say I was given a free trial , they did`nt want to know just had an e-mail of them saying my trial was cancelled but with with no refund . my advice would be don`t be a fool like me and give them your BANK DETAILS.

The guardian recently did an article abt the scam that some customers have experienced from agencies such as Rated people. Many of there so called quality builders have no qualifications and are not vetted or approved by them. There are also reports of customers negative ratings being removed. Instead use the government sponsored Trademark scheme. These builders are all approved and have proper insurance. Save yourself heartache and your hard earned money - stay clear!

S K Builders, SOUTHAMPTON.We invited 3 Rated People to quote for pointing our 100 yr old house. Shane gave us a reasonable quote (not the cheapest) but he gave us a first rate job. All builders that came on site were polite and respectful. The workmanship was very good and we are delighted at the finished result.We would have no hesitation to ask S K Builders to do any building work for us again, be it internal, external, large or small.Brockenhurst, HANTS.

I am a tradesman, and have no idea where RatedPeople.com got my phone number. They use 'hard sell' tactics on the phone, I had to repeat many times that "I will contact you myself if interested" before the salesperson would end the call. I have just had a new wooden door fitted by D.W joinery ,who from the start were professional ,efficient,helpfull and very competitive with there quote,they carried out the work within a short time of acceptance and were punctual and worked to a very high standard and are obviously very skilled and experienced ,also sharing valuable advise on other connected matters,they cleaned up after and finished on time and stuck to the agreed price ,needless to say i am very happy with there workmanship and will use again for certain highly recomended .

After posting a detailed description and posting images for a relatively straightforward job I got the sum total of 0 quotes back. Rated people then withdrew my job after a week without telling me.Complete waste of time, will never use again.

I was so hopeful for this site - I hoped it would mean that I could depend on the tradespeople it had on there as I could vet them on there in Ebay feedback style. Having moved house several times over the last few years I know the process can be very stressful. I found the Removal Group to be very competitive pricewise and by assigning me a personal move coordinator it was easy to organise. The communication, before, during and after the move were excellent and I was particularly impressed with the follow-up calls on the day of the shipment ariiving at the destination to ensure all was well.Highly recommended.
