Newest Review: ... revisited the site, I left with mixed feelings. The cartoons fluctuate between masterful comic ideas and needless filth, some of which is incredibly disgusting. At best, the videos are bizzare (spoooooooooonguuuuaaaard!), hilarious (the misheard lyrics section, particularly destiny's child) and just plain awesome (the rather ingenius 'tales of the blode' series). Many of the original songs are also funny, but some are just horrible. I first came across this site many years ago when the video "we like the moon" was being passed around the internet like a hot potato, and recently decided to rediscover some old favourites. Having revisited the site, I left with mixed feelings. The cartoons fluctuate between masterful comic ideas and needless filth, some of which is incredibly disgusting. Rathergood.com is a website primarily displaying the flash animations and songs of Joel Veitch. Veitch's bizarre but often clever sense of humour, his musical talent (and that of his brother, Alex) and the element of not quite knowing what to expect (for example, a song about how the Spongmonkeys, small furry creatures with harsh voices, like the moon almost as much as they like zeppelins and lightbulbs and spoons) make this site a great success. Some of Joel's characters have appeared in television advertisements (for example, the afore-mentioned Spongmonkeys were resued in a Quiznos Sub advert).
