Rathergood.com is a website primarily displaying the flash animations and songs of Joel Veitch. Veitch's bizarre but often clever sense of humour, his musical talent (and that of his brother, Alex) and the element of not quite knowing what to expect (for example, a song about how the Spongmonkeys, small furry creatures with harsh voices, like the moon almost as much as they like zeppelins and lightbulbs and spoons) make this site a great success. Some of Joel's characters have appeared in television advertisements (for example, the afore-mentioned Spongmonkeys were resued in a Quiznos Sub advert).

The earlier animations on rathergood.com were commonly of kittens lip-synching popular songs such as 'Gay Bar' by Electric Six, Led Zeppelin and others. This moved on to also include adventures of a RatherGood mascot, Blode, a small blonde-haired boy with no torso, as well as various animations under the title 'Shit is Good'. Centrally in this area, Joel created short flash animations illustrating mishearings of certain songs (for example, the recurring lyric in Independent Woman by Destiny's Child "I've bought it" was translated 2Alf Garnett, and the Beatle's "She's got a ticket to Rye and she don't care, my baby don't care" became "She's got a chicken to ride and she don't care, my baby donkey").

The site at one point featured Veitch's blog and ramblings, although the last post was made in September 2004.

Rathergood.com also hosts the RatherGood forum, based both around Veitch's band, 7 Seconds of Love, and his website, but allowing off-topic banter as well.

However, by far the best way to get a taste of Joel Veitch's work is tohead over to RatherGood.com and see for yourself.

Not a site I've ever heard of, some more info might be good here. Sam (Internet Guide)
