A few months ago I was between two jobs and so I decided to try the Reed website as it looked easy enough to use and seemed to have lots of jobs advertised (I went on their website today and they have 214 832 jobs.... not bad is it!) And indeed it was extremely easy and quick to register. First you need to put your email address, create a password and attach your CV. Then you're asked for your personal details and experience and qualifications. After registering you can start browsing the jobs. I am new to UK and was trying dozens of differnt ways to find a job. I registerred with so many agencies I have even forgotten all their names.. The truth is - once I registerred with Reed they found me a temp job within a week and I am still with it. I think if you are not too picky about what you want to do and what you are prepared to do - they can give you a pretty good chance at least to get employed. The other side of it - i think the service is not to the best standard.. Considerring they earn money from every temp employee - there is not much communication at all.. Plus salaires as a result are cut down. I put as preferencies that would like to search ... Read the complete review

Not a great fan of temp agencies generally but I understand the need and thus have from time to time signed up. With general office temping there needs to be some human interaction before jobs are dished out, whether it's on the phone or face to face. Therefore Reed.co.uk is a waste of time in the first instant. Obviously alligned with the High Street offices, the two do not seem to correlate. The High Street Reed have never found me a job but at least they leave me alone once I am gainfully employed (with a different agency). Reed.co.uk hassle me non-stop with 'ways to better my CV' which undoubtably involve paying them a fee. The website, if you follow the ... Read the complete review

Having finally found a job, I think it is the right time for me to give a fair judgement on the different recruitment sites and one of the main ones I used was Reed. It has been a long hard nine months looking for the right job and I was specifically looking for a job in Accounting. It is great to have finally achieved this, however the service at Reed has not contributed at all. Reed is a very big employment site and recruit for many different agencies and firms. I am sure everyone has heard of them and it is very easy to register with their site. You simply fill in your personal details and upload your CV. Also outside the branches their are often ... I joined this web site about 5 months ago to look for a job. I also joined numerous other web sites. Although not perfect and needing some improvements in my opinion, I have found reed.co.uk to be the best of the job web sites that I have used. There are two reasons for this; firstly you can filter out all employment agency advertised jobs and only get results of jobs advertised direct by employers. In the current very tough job market I believe this is a very important option to have because in general if you apply to an agency you are very unlikely to be offered an interview unless you fit the exact criteria they are looking for. Also, a lot of ... Read the complete review
