Advantages: The best DVD retailing site, excellent customer support
Disadvantages: now sadly only a film news site

Reel was the bestDVD retailing company around, especially to us Brits who have to import R1 DVDs from the US. The prices were always low - 40% off at least - plus there was the added bonus of many special offers ($10 off, etc.). Often you would get a replacement and then the 'late' order would arrive a few days later. And in a stroke of genius, you could talk to customer reps via java chat.
