Review sites are a great way to make yourself a little extra pocket money for whatever it is you are saving for or just for the little extra luxery items that make life worth living (chocolate!!!! lol).
There are two review sites that I use like many other people in this site they are Ciao and Dooyoo ofcourse. These websites are good as you can publish your reviews twice on them by copy and pasting them over, so you mite as well make every penny's worth off your review on both sites. Though they are both good sites I find that Dooyoo is a much better website to write on for a few reasons which are as follows:
1.) Dooyoo has a better community feeling on it, I have been a member of Dooyoo for around 7 months and have a good few people in my circle of trust and am trusted also by a good few people (I havent counted though). I have been a member of Ciao for about a month and a half now, and I am not yet trusted by anyone, it makes you kind of feel out of place compared to when you are on Dooyoo.
2.) Dooyoo pays by cheque, I dont really like putting my bank details into the internet, and if I didnt already trust Ciao from reading reviews from members on Dooyoo I wouldnt have dreamt of putting them into the Ciao website in case it was a scam.
3.) Dooyoo is more straight forward where payment is concerned, is it just me or does anyone else feel that they never really know how much a review will make on Ciao, I just get what I get and accept it as I dont really understand the whole payment process at all.
4.) Dooyoo members arent as harsh as Ciao members, on Dooyoo many of my Very Useful reviews have gotten Useful or Somewhat Useful reviews on Ciao, I think that this is really annoying and shall not rant much further about the matter.
Basically I tend to write for Dooyoo and worry more about my Dooyoo account, all I do is copy and paste reviews over to Ciao and ofcourse rate a few reviews that interest me while I am over there.
Though Ciao ofcourse does have some good points too, I am not slagging the website completely:
1.) The payout minimum is lower on Ciao than it is on Dooyoo, on Dooyoo you need £50 to cash a cheque whereas you only need £5 on Ciao to get money transfered to your account, though I think that it takes longer to make £5 on Ciao than it does to make £5 on Dooyoo.
I think that both sites are worth using as its good to collect all the pennys you can these days, though Dooyoo does fair out better in my opinion.
I love writing on these review sites though because I think it is improving my writing skills and it is a great place to relax and write and get your opinion out about different products you have used. Making the money from it is just an added bonus, though I kid you not the prospect of making money was the main factor that attracted me to these websites.
Reviewing websites are also a great place to learn about other products that you could potentially buy, I find myself searching Dooyoo when I am looking to make more expensive buys now for everyones opinions on what a camera, phone or tv etc. is really like, as shops and advertisments can be so misleading.

- 22/09/09 I am a member of both Dooyoo and Ciao and agree that the at a glance view of your earnings on Dooyoo gives it a slight edge, although I love both. |

- 22/07/09 Nicely done. There are lots of other functionality differences of course, but different things matter to different people. I love the fact that I can quickly check who rates my reviews on DooYoo, but have to hunt for rates on Ciao. Also, the IM feature is much better in that you get notified with new messages. the product suggestion is more intuitive here as well. Hmm. I feel a piece of my own coming on LOL 8^) |
