I returned an item and they denied to the credit card that the item had been received. Thank goodness I save all my receipts and I had my UPUS receipt. They had most certainly received the item and the credit card credited my account. However, Rocks TV has taken more than 3 months to even send me an acknowledgement of the returned item. Needless to say I want nothing to do with this company.
Whilst flicking through the shopping channels on Sky I noticed there are quite a few dedicated to selling jewellery & the latest one to appear is Rocks.tv.
It's only been on Sky for a couple of months (channel 647) & I must say I find it a very entertaining channel. A few years ago I bought a number of jewellery items from Gemstv & was pleased but the last few months I've found their channel to be rather repetitive & their prices seem to have increased. Other channels of this type are, in my opinion, pretty boring but Rocks is really entertaining because of their presenters, their hard-to-find gems & the relaxed tone.
The company is a family-owned British company & quite often the MD (Steve Bennett) does the presenting, his wife designs many of the items & even his kids appeared on TV - I feel there's an honesty & freshness about this channel & although I haven't bought anything as yet (due to lack of £!) I have several friends who have done & have been really pleased. I've been told that their jewellery arrived within a couple of days of purchase & they offer a 30 day money-back guarantee. I saw a beautiful Tanzanite ring my friend bought for £99 (plus p&p) & I was amazed at the amount of gold & the clarity of the gemstone - I've seen similar rings at a far higher price. Another friend bought a black diamond pendant & once again I was amazed at the quality & the price & have to admit I was truly jealous.
The quantities in the auctions are usually low & if no one bids in the auction they sometimes need to 'pull it' which means it will probably be offered again at a later stage although the item number is clearly given so you can still call & buy. Phonecalls are free which is great & I once called (to ask about a black diamond hubby missed out on) & the customer services couldn't have been more friendly/helpful. There's also a chatroom which I've not seen on any other shopping channel so there's the opportunity to talk to other gem-lovers.
The other thing I've noticed about Rocks is they offer a price pledge which means if you see the same item of jewellery you bought at a higher price they'll refund the difference if you phone in - again I've never seen this on other shopping channel.
They have a variety of the usual & unusual gems set in gold, silver & gold plating & items vary from traditional designs to large contemporary ones including bracelets, necklaces, rings, watches, cufflinks & pendants. They also sell a range of funky charms & lovely loose gemstones.
I like this channel as it's entertaining & fun, their items are of good quality & I believe they value their customers highly - worth having a look.
