I came across this site by accident, and I was quite impressed by it. I have always regarded the Samaritans very highly, they do a fantastic job in offering help and advice to everyone. The website is very good and contains a lot of good features, such as latest news and articles which could interest.
You can read up on the History of the Samaritans, and read articles on the site about them.

The site is very neat, well laid out and it’s easy to follow. I am glad in way that organisations like the Samaritans have spread the wings onto the Internet, it’s such a powerful medium of communication that I am sure it can be of help to someone.

You can ring the Samaritans whatever your problem, one of the good thing is that it’s truly confidential and they don’t judge. So, don’t feel embarrassed about your problems, they will listen and offer advice where appropriate. Often it’s best to talk to someone neutral and someone who won’t judge.

What I noticed about the site was that you could contact them in various way, finding their telephone, e-mail was very easy. So, if you do need some help you can e-mail them and they will try to reply back to you.
Most of the Samaritans are trained volunteers so you will get good advice, they have saved many people, offered many shoulders to cry on……

On the web site I was reading an article saying that most people still felt it was a stigma, embarrassing even to ring the Samaritans, but don’t be. They will try to help you, and no problem is too small for you.
From the web site you can find your local branch and get their telephone number.

You can also make donations to the web site, it’s only until you visit the web site do you really actually grasp the importance of the organisation. How important it is, and how many lives it has saved.
