Say no to 0870 is a website that lists alternative telephone numbers for 0500, 0800, 0808, 0844, 0845, 0870 and 0871 numbers, their aim is to stop you having to pay crazy sums of money just to ring companies.

The site has become popular more recently, having been featured in various high profile places, such as money saving expert's forums and on BBC radio 2.

It's a very simple to use website, albeit the slightly amateur looking homepage. When you need to dial one of the previously mentioned code numbers, simple go to saynoto0870.com and click 'Search to find an alternative number' at the top, and enter your number.
The site will then display any alternative numbers listed in it's database, so far I've never had a premium-rate number that SNT0870 has not had an alternative for.

The website also features a discussion forum, for things such as requesting a number that isnt currently listed and also a feature for adding any non-premium phone numbers you've found to their database.

All-in-all this is a great, free service, and has saved me and many others a lot of money that would otherwise have been used to just make a simple phone call!
