Sendmonthly is a brand new website for women, that will help make their monthly period a little easier to cope with.
I signed up for send monthly when they were offering a free trial to 250 women. It sounded a great idea so I wanted to give it a try. The concept is simple you get the sanity protection you require, delivered directly to your door just before your monthly period, Perfect. You can pay monthly costing £6.49 or you can get 12 cycles for £70 pounds. I'm unsure if the free trial is still running.
Firstly you need to register with the site they take your usual details on the first screen like name, address, email then the next screen your required to submit further details about your monthly cycle, like the date of your last period, length of your cycle, length of your period. This information is then used to calculate when to send out your delivery.
Next you select the choice of products you require. It allows you to select from a choice of brands, styles and absorbency and the quantity you require up to a maxium of 15. This means you can select exactly what you need and select a selection of towels and tampons and different absorbency for day and night depending on what you like. I think this a fab so you only get what you like. If you have a particully long or heavy period extra products can be added at an extra cost. They have all the big name brands to choice from like Always, bodyform and Tampax as well as many others. After completing your ordered you create a password and input your payment details of your credit or debit card. It is very straight forward process and took me less than 5 minutes to complete. The hardest part for me was remember when my last period was and when I expected my next one as I'm rubbish at keeping track of things.
When my discreetly packaged bespoke box arrived it could have easily have fit through the letter box although my postman knocked on the door with mine as I had other parcels too. I wasn't in slightest bit embarrassed as there is no way of knowing whats inside the box. I was very pleased when I opened the box as I got a mini bar of cadbury dairy milk chocolate (which was quickly stolen by my 3 year old) along with all the other items I ordered. I was impressed everything came like I asked for no substitute products. I did however get embarrassed as I'd left the open box on the step next to the door, when the next caller arrived at the door my son decided to grab and handful of tampons and shout mummy sweeties, sweeties. Kids you got to love them.
I do think this is an excellent service and I'm guessing many women like me will have been caught out by their period from time to time and had to send the other half out who hasn't got clue about these things out to buy them for you. This is an excellent solution.
