shazam.comNewest Review: ... a text from them and... Hey Presto... You now know the Artist and the name of the mystery song! Shazam simply records a 15 second "Finger-print" of the song and then matches it to its library of over 8 million tracks. Very simple but very clever in deed! Every time you get a song "Tagged" and sent to you via text it costs 50p per message. This isn't to bad for someone ... more |

Don't you just hate it when you hear a song in a pub, club or on TV that you really like but you have no idea what it is called or who it is by! That is now a thing of the past... Let me introduce you to... SHAZAM! As long as you have a mobile phone with you, Shazam can help you! ---- Mobile Users ---- Shazam is a music recognition website that you can access through your mobile phone by dialling '2580' (The numbers straight down the centre of the keypad so you can't forget! Very helpful) A short message will then play telling you to hold your mobile to the source of the music. Shazam then listens to the music and hangs up ... Read the complete review

Shazam is a wondeful innovation & I still can't figure out how it works after all this time. It is basically a service that will recognise any song playing in the background & let you know who the artist is and what the title of the song is. If you hear a song when out & about and really want to know what it is, you can ring a short number from your mobile and then just by holding your phone towards the music for around 10 seconds will allow the system to send you a text to let you know what the song & artits was. If you want to save the price of a phone call, now the service is also available on Blackberry and Iphones with their ... Read the complete review

Shazam is great! Basically, its a music recognition device that you can use to identify tunes you hear playing but are unsure what they are. There are two ways to get the 'Shazam Experience' - there is a number you dial, which is 2580 and a voice tells you to hold your phone towards the music, it will then 'listen' for 15 seconds and text you the name of the song. I used to use this 'back in the day' but to be honest, I think it is rather expensive (around 12p for the call, and 50p for each text you use). It is also available to use on Blackberry and costs £5 initally, you can then use the application as many times as you want. I however, have an ... Read the complete review

Shazam is another gem on the internet, one of those ones that most people don't know anything about! It's been around for several years, first on your mobile phone as 2580 and now as well on Shazam.com. What shazam does is tag most common music tracks when it hears fifteen seconds of the track. All you have to do is dial 2580 from you're mobile and let it listen to the track and Shazam will hang up after fifteen seconds and then text you within a minute with the artist and track name of the song. You can now get Shazam as an application for Iphone, Blackberry, and Android mobile phones. You can also get an application on Facebook and get your own community ... Read the complete review
