Shazam is a wondeful innovation & I still can't figure out how it works after all this time. It is basically a service that will recognise any song playing in the background & let you know who the artist is and what the title of the song is.

If you hear a song when out & about and really want to know what it is, you can ring a short number from your mobile and then just by holding your phone towards the music for around 10 seconds will allow the system to send you a text to let you know what the song & artits was.

If you want to save the price of a phone call, now the service is also available on Blackberry and Iphones with their own custom applications available, making the whole process even easier.

I've used Shazam many times and it very infrequently fails to identify the correct song so is extremly accurate and you can bet it will know the song you are trying to identifty. So there's now no need to wonder what the song which played in the background was, using Shaazm you can find out the correct song title & artist.
