Advantages: Constant and complete coverage
Disadvantages: price
Lennox Lewis is easily the best heavyweight boxer that has come out of this country (almost) in decades, but how many people have seen him fight since Sky started charging for box office fights? Not many I bet, but somehow Lennox has turned his back on Sky and has agreed to have his fights aired on teresteral t.v. How this is going to be funded is beyond me. Although Sky over-charge for it's coverage of sports, it is just about worth paying to be able to watch the variety of sports that can be seen, long forgotten sports to the BBC, like live football. Besides football, I love to watch the WWF and it's monthly pay per views are shown for free on Sky Sports, apart from the few that channel 4 show and ruin with ad breaks. English rugby league was fast headed for the toilet before it was taken under Sky's wing, and the golf and cricket get full coverage, rather than a hour long, late night highlight show on the BBC. Overall, if you lke to watch sports, Sky is worth paying for, as long as your wife dosen't mind missing all her soaps. When she just won't hand over the remote, I like to connect to the website. They have all the news on every sport, is easy to navigate and the pundits who write are usually spot on. The site is informative and is well worth a visit
