Advantages: stylish, high quality, " something different ", good customer service

Disadvantages: still a few card categories needed

First review on dooyoo so here goes - hope it is up to standard of some of the great reviews I've seen here! I actually suggested this ecard website as I have tried a few ecard services and this is the best I have come across. I've wasted a lot of time and sometimes money on some of the many hundreds of ecard sites out there. So why do I think this one is good ?

Firstly, they have a great selection of cards with loads of different styles. There are four working Scottish artists who run the site and they produce stuff which is quite different from the run of the mill ecard sites. They have stuff which can be any of these styles- artistic, funny, clever, cute, funky, contemporary, cartoonish or just plain beautiful. They avoid the over-sentimental, too sweet and mushy styles that some card sites have but you can still find cute cards for sentimental occasions. Check out their Karaoke Man cards for something fun and different.

Secondly, I like the fact that they are not a big corporate company mass producing cards from some templates. They are a small British company trying to compete in a tough market and doing so by going for quality and something different.

Thirdly, customer service is excellent. I was a member of a couple of other sites - bluemountain.com and american greetings.com and found their customer service badly lacking. When I first joined Skyblue I had a hitch with my Paypal payment and had to email Skyblue support ( they ain't big enough to run telephone support !) and got a personal reply from a named individual who sorted it out for me even though it wasn't their fault - and then ,because of the slight inconvenience, extended my membership for an extra month at no charge. Nice touch -pretty good service indeed.

Lastly, it is a great value site. For £5 per year you can join and then send as many cards as you like to as many people as you like. Now I know there are loads of "free" sites out there but from my experience of using some of these you soon find that there are hitches - eg the cards are free but the site is full of adverts and pop-ups, your data may be sold on to other sites, you can find you get loads more spam after signing up for a free ecard, the cards are free for a month but they want your credit card details anyway hoping you will forget to cancel within the month and they will then take your annual subscription, etc, etc. You get none of that with Skyblue. Much simpler to just pay a fiver and by the time you have sent a few cards the rest are virtually free anyway !

Summary: Skyblue Cards is a quality ecard greeting site which is good value and fun to use
