Disadvantages: Some of the music is terrible! An earnings are extremely low so not a money making opp.

Slice The Pie is a website for unsigned bands and artists to showcase their work and potentially raise money to release their albums. For music fans, it's an opportunity to heard the best (and worst) new music and "scout out" the talent! The best rated bands and musicians become eligible for investment by investors or music fans. When it was first launched, Slice The Pie was popular with those who like to earn a few extra pennies at home - and pennies was all you would get! Every time you listened to at least 60 seconds of and wrote a review of a song, you would receive anything from 3p to 12p. You would be graded as a Scout for your length and quality of review and your accuracy (i.e. how your rating of a song compared to the average rating) and the amount paid per review would increase as your rating improved. Now the setup has changed slightly and you don't earn ANY money until you've reached a 3-star rating; instead, you earn vouchers which you can use to invest in artists. So, as a money making opportunity, this isn't great ... you have to listen to a LOT of songs and they won't all be good!! But if you love hearing new music, then you'll love this site as there's something for everyone!
