Advantages: Informative, well designed and organised
Disadvantages: If football's not your game...
If you're like me and like to be at the forefront of the football news word then there's only one site that can satisfy your insatiable apetite - and that site, ladies & gentlemen, is soccernet.com . Although run by American sports television giant ESPN, the website has lost none of football's British appeal. If you read the Daily Mail, then you may well found that it's strikingly similar. That is probably because it's the same company behind the paper and the website. Soccernet.com manages to strike a fine balance between fact and rumour - unlike TeamTalk - which allows the reader to engage his or her imagination whilst receiving genuine information. If something has recently happened in the world of football then the chances are it'll appear on Soccernet.com . If you're also interested in the Scottish and European scence then fear not - Soccernet also caters for you. Other than the latest football news, there are many excellent topical (and opinionated) articles by some excellent writers in the English game. Once you visisted this site a couple of times you'll probably end up going back daily - just to see whether your star striker has been snapped up for a bargain £13 million (-apologies Coventry fans!). If you're football mad, then I'd thoroughly recommend this website, especially compared to football365.com and TeamTalk. It manages, as I said previously, to strike a fine balance of rumour and fact. I take my hat off to you.
