Advantages: Easy to use and free!

Disadvantages: resources less good as the children get older

I first started using Sparklebox as a trainee teacher. Back then a fair proportion of it was free, and the rest you had to pay for. A bit annoying as it was the good stuff that cost!
However, it is now all free! YAY! Teachers everywhere celebrated the day Sparklebox went free. :) A tiny little annoyance now though is that some of the stuff is only available if you download their toolbar. Goodness knows what sort of stuff it would dump onto your computer. Plus I already have all the toolbars I want thanks.
Despite this small quibble, I still love Sparklebox. All the resources are bright, colourful and well-designed. It is also easy to navigate and easy to download what you want. I teach reception and find it is very good for that age group. I have looked higher up at the resources for older classes and don't personally feel they are as strong, but that is just my opinion. But if it is a toss-up between spending 3 minutes downloading a ready made resource, or spending 3 hours making your own, I know which one I'd go for... ;)
