Very good quality product for one of gift idea

I have used this site a couple of times and the receivers of the products have been very happy and would like me to order more!

      My positive points are:

You can choose from a variety of products and designs
Can chose various colours and designs of your product
Can chose different textures of graphics printed on product
Very good if you have a child or adult with an unusual name, you can adapt spelling as you wish
      Unique gifts
      Delivery is very quick
You can track where you product is and you receive emails to update you

      My negatives points are:
The more pictures and designs you put on your products can make the items very expensive.

Once you have registered on the site, you will receive emails with offers and or discounts and you also receive updates of new products as they become available.

Overall, for a unique one off gift, I would definitely recommend.

Print quality is great as well as t-shirt quality. Delivery service can be unreliable, because of using cheap postage via Deutsche Post. My first package got probably lost during the delivery by Deutsche Post, because it wasn't delivered within a month. But thanks to the great customer service, we settled this by reprinting and resending t-shirts at Spreadshirt expenses. This time DHL was used and t-shirts arrived within 3 days since ordering.

Nice site and like some folks have said' I thought this was UK based but no. Four weeks since order was 'sent' according to the e-mail in my inbox. Still no sign of t-shirt yet, not sure if i can be bothered to chase the order up got better things to do, but i hate being 'had' so will try.Save yourself the hassle and don't buy from them.

Expensive - but appears to be good quality and design process was good on line. Delivery quite good - I knew it was not uk based - you really need to read the site to understand what you're getting. Haven't worn and washed as yet - hopefully this will not be a problem.

I was deeply disappointed with the service from spreadshirt.co.uk as they did not deliver the product and I am still waiting to-date and its already been 23 DAYS!!!It was an appalling service with no-follow up on your their side whatsoever. No apology, NOTHING, ZERO. I certainly will not be purchasing ANYTHING from spreadshirt.co.uk in future - and will warn others by writing my bad experience on all websites I can find about spreadshirt.co.ukI told them that I DO NOT want my t-shirt I ordered and I expect a full REFUND immediately and I will pursue this vigorously.Stay away people, you can find a local printing firm that delivers and keeps to their customer promise and satisfaction. These guys are based in Germany, even though they state they are a uk business.AVOID AT ALL COSTS - OTHERWISE YOU WILL BE SORRY!!S.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Great quality, easy design process, slightly higher prices

A friend recommended Spreadshirt to me when I was looking for a going away present for a colleague. First I thought the prices seemed a bit high but then I started to design my own t-shirt and realized first it is worth it, since the t-shirts, hoodies etc are totally unique (I think they only print a shirt once it is ordered even if it is a fixed design) and second because of quantity. Its obvious that high street shops can offer cheaper prices with their bulk quantities. So you have to be willing to pay, but the fit and quality was fantastic and it was a really touching and personal gift. So I really thought the prices were fair. Its not easy to find personal gifts today but the designer let me make exactly what I wanted. You don't have to be an artist or anything. You can choose from other designs which are already on the site. When I ran a half marathon last month I ordered a running t-shirt from them with my name and the name of the charity I was running for on it, and again I was a satisfied customer. Much, much better quality than your local print shop. Recommended.

Shame the whole experience got ruined by the delivery time taking 7 days

Despite the whole buying process makes you believe they're based in the UK, they are NOT. You think that your shirts will be delivered within 2-3 days...forget it! The T-shirts are coming from Germany - and even though they make you pay for the DHL delivery (leading you to believe the t-shirts will be with you within 2 days max), DHL actually only deliveres until it reaches the UK, then your parcel is handed over to Royal Mail or ParcelForce....UNBELIEVABLE!! I wasted a lot of time trying to track down my parcel and felt quite frustrated with the whole experience, as I felt I was mislead and cheated on. I spent nearly 100£ on hen do T-shirts, and I was lucky enough to have orderd ahead of time, as it took over 7 days for the T-shirts to arrive, one day late and it would have been too late....
Anyway, in a positive note, I must say the quality of the t-shirts was really good (as expected for they high cost!), and they fit really well. I got size M for everyone and they fit everyone nicely.
If they change their website and are honest about their location and give clear indications regarding delivery times, I'd be happy to buy with them again. Otherwise, I dont expect to be going there again.

Initially I thought that the T shirt I bought was slightly expensive £26 with postage and packing. I chose the cheapest female T shirt I think, but the quality was outstanding. The T shirt, itself, was good quality (not made by someone getting paid 1p per shirt in a sweatshop) and the quality of design and print was fantastic. My friend loved it as a pressie. I would recommend spreadshirt.co.uk

        Avoid This company

Sorry, but those top two reviews have soooo been written by people who would gain from the company doing well.

I, on the other hand, had a very different experience.

I ordered my shirt (£40!!!!! . they are expensive) for a special event and a special friend. The web site (which is a .co.uk site) which gave me the impression it was a company based in the UK, gave me an example of delivery times. If I wanted it to go to Germany I would have to allow 24hrs- 48hrs production time then allow 3-5 days standard delivery time (2-3 days for express delivery time).

I thought (wrongly) well if it takes 3-5 days to germany I should have it in no time, so I proceeded to pay.... in pounds (not a euro in sight)). The whole process was very british, even the first set of design logos they offered me were Union Jacks

Not any where on the site does it make it blatantly clear (APART FROM THE SMALL PRINT IN SOME OBSCURE SUBSECTION) that this company is shipping from germany and the delivery times are far in excess of what was original thought. I rang the company, an 0203 number, (southampton is 02380 london 0207 and 0208, so didn't think anything was odd there) and got a german girl called Anke. She informed me, much to my surprise, that this was a german company and all products are made and sent over from germany.

When I politely explained and asked for a refund they refused point blank, and after a series of emails the best they can come up with is 'we'll keep your 40 quid (for a t shirt that probably cost £2 from a sweat shop), you can keep your shirt (which you have no use for now) and you can have a reduction on your next purchase'.

Oddly, along side the small print is a guarantee that they will take almost anything back and refund your money if you are not perfectly happy. They don't seem to have read their own small print!

Well I look forward to my next regular purchase of a novelty t shirt which I do on a regular basis.... not.
And if I was going to buy one it would not be from this company.

Please anyone who wants a novelty printed t shirt (and there are plenty of great companies out there), order it from your own country. It will arrive faster, be cheaper and you'll be supporting your own economy.

And by the way it's been 2 weeks and still, no shirt!

          spreadshirt

This business is great, I went on to have a quick browse around and ended up getting a present for my sisters birthday, that is all I shall say on that in case she reads this!

They offer a great service where you can choose from a huge library of designs and then you can put that design on a huge range of products ranging from: T-shirts to baby bibs. It also allows you to create your own logo/text with a great freedom of design and allows you to place things where you want and create an individual piece.

I received my 'item' and it is of very good quality and comes complete with care instructions.

Another great aspect of this company for other businesses is the ability to set up your own white labeled site to enable your company to have its own merchandising site.

What a fantastic site! Crayzee! Great fun 'design your own' TeeShirt website. You can also set yourself up in business designing and selling your own T's. I would recommend our readers to check this website out.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

Great designs to be made let down by the price.

I stumbled across this web page accidentally ages ago but came back to it when I decided I actually wanted to buy from there. What this place on the net is though, is a place where you can customise items of clothing and more, get it made for you and get it send to your house, and all for a rather expensive price. There is more to it though.

          ~Order Direct~

This is the art of the website you go to make whatever you want. You start out with a choice of what clothing you want, such as normal T-Shirts to V-neck T-shirts. You can get ones with a collar too, or a long sleeved one or one with the sleeves as a different colour and you get to choose which colour. The cheapest one you will find is a blank shirt of any colour for £9.50 set price. They get more expensive though (obviously). Scrolling down you can also get Jackets, hoodies and jumpers. When I was buying I decoded against getting these as the prices were over £30.
You can also get mugs, clocks, shorts, socks, bibs, aprons, teddies and underwear. I got a plain T-Shirt.

This is a good range here and I will consider going back to customise something else.

The next step is to add things to your shirt. You can add pictures or writing. There is a large range of pictures covering a wide range-from world cup (when it was on-now it is just football), symbols, games, drugs/alcohol and politics. There are 25 categories each having a different amount of pictures. Under ‘computer and games’ you will find little sayings such as ‘It’s not a bug, it’s a feature’ and pictures that look like characters from space Invaders. They are all pretty good but the thing about customising your own shirt is that you can put anything on there so no-one else has it at all and it is your design. For this you can upload an image from your computer (I tried a JPEG image). It works and provided you have the copyright or have permission you can put any image on you want. Of course, this costs money and is added to the price of the Shirt. The ones I looked at cost an extra £2 each.

You can also have writing on your shirt. The first line of writing costs £2 and the next 4 cost 30p each. You can choose from a number of colours, fonts and font sizes though so you will get the one you want. You can’t upload a font though since I wanted a specific one. You can have five lines of this on the front and the same on the back. What makes designing it easier is that with a click of a button you centre your work too.
As I said, I would have liked to have uploaded a font but you can’t have everything and I still think it is a good range.

All of this is also easy to do, there are tabs at the top which lets you choose picture or writing (you can put on both) and you just click on the image you want or write what you want and choose the settings and presto. I am happy with this altogether because you do get a wide choice and it is easy to do. However, one grievance is the price. It all adds up pretty fast and I would have preferred it to have been priced be the size of the image and font rather than the amount of lines used and I don’t like it that you can get a huge picture for £2, but a small one costs the same price. However, if my way was their way, I can imagine the prices would bump up further.
After all of this choose the quantity and size (S, M, L, XL, XXL, or XXXL). If you choose more than one in quantity though but want them in different sizes it doesn’t work so you have to put the one you’ve just made in the cart and make a replica but in a different size.

I am also happy with the ordering. Once it is put in the cart go to the cart and then the checkout. You will have realised that the P&P is £4 on top of the shirt price which adds up. (P&P is £2.20 if ordering under £16). I brought 2 shirts (plain white with 5 lines of writing each) and including P&P it cost £30 which is hefty for what it was. Back on topic though, once at the checkout you have to put in details such as your name, address, e-mail and password (for returning customers) and then how you will be paying. It accepts all major credit cards including Solo. I put in the details (easy) and got a confirmation order off of them. At the time it advertised a 48 hour dispatch time. I was unimpressed when I got e-mailed saying due to extra orders due to the world cup it would take 7 days to dispatch but at least I was told and it was what I originally expected. It also updated the site afterwards so people were told that at the checkout. It is still at 7 days now.

I ordered my shirt and it arrived 8 days after order. It was packed neatly in a package and inside that the 2 shirts were in separate see through plastic bags and folded neatly. It is 100% cotton too an is extremely good quality and feels excellent whilst on and although it is expensive, you have to expect it since it has to be made for you and I was happy since I know no-one else will have the exact same shirt as me. I have had it washed twice so far and (touch wood) the writing hasn’t faded and neither has the shirt shrunk so the 14 day money back guarantee wasn’t needed.

          ~Open Shop~

I haven’t done so but what you do is open a ‘spreadshop’ (for free) where you upload a design, make a shirt, and set the commission so you earn the profits. I suppose this means that if you made a design on a shirt that costs about £9.90, spreadshirt keeps the £.9.90 but you get the rest of the money (which is made when someone adds a picture-which you will have designed). If you are a member you can shop in these shops and there are some pretty interesting T-Shirts to sell there. The shop I went to look a was a good one. It acted like spreadshirt where you choose a design but the designs were all designed by the shop owner so she/he could make some profits. The designs were excellent too and if you are lucky enough to find a spreadshop that specialises in an item that you want-such as under gaming-you will find a good range. There is even a ‘miniclip’ shop with some good designs. You can both buy from and sell in ‘spreadshop’ but since I have not opened up a shop I cannot tell you if you will get large amounts of profits. It’s still interesting to look at though and it seems to be a big site (I think it is the 2nd biggest customisable shirt site) so there must be quite a few shoppers out there.

          ~Site Navigation~
I will make this quick and say the site is really easy to navigate around and it easy to the eye with it being white and light blue. There are tabs everywhere to click on if you want to know more about the site, shipping details and I have already said that making the shirt is very easy. This is good since it is a put-off if it takes ages just to get up shipping information. Most information you will find is in tabs at the top with some at the bottom.

          ~Overall~
I am extremely happy with this site. It is easy to navigate around and make a shirt. There are loads of designs too and since you can upload your own and shop in spreadshops’ it gives you even more choice. You can even make a spreadshop if you have time. The quality or the shirts are also excellent and for that I will definitely shop there again since I like to know no one else will be wearing the same shirt.

However, I do have one complaint and that is the price. I don’t mind paying £15 for a shirt but I don’t like it when I want to add a tiny picture for £2 when I could have one spreading across my back for the same price. So, the reason it does not get 5 stars is because it is expensive. I definitely recommend though since it is a great place to make your own unique shirt.
