squidoo.comNewest Review: ... is 50% to Squidoo, 10% to charity and 40% to the lens owners. I would be the first to admit that I am no William Shakespeare; I like writing articles and I like to think that I have a reasonable grasp of the English language - so I thought I'd give squidoo a bash. I was so appalled by the returns that I am almost embarrassed to share it with you. I wrote 48 articles in the first month - on a ... more |

Squidoo.com is a site where you can write articles, or "lenses" as they are known, on any subject (within the site rules) and they each have the potential to earn you money via the Google Ads scheme or by specialist tools that you can include that link to commercial sites such as eBay and Amazon. Money earned by the Google Ads is pooled and then a percentage of it is paid out pro-rata to the contributirs based on the average rank of your lens. I believe the split is 50% to Squidoo, 10% to charity and 40% to the lens owners. Squidoo is an American online 'community' (I use the word community lightly, and I'll come back to that later) that allows it's users to create online content. In return, you can earn 'money' (I use the word money, also lightly, but again, more on that later). One could very easily draw similarities with Squidoo and the likes of Dooyoo and Ciao, with the massive difference being that you can write about whatever you want. There are no product categories, just subject categories, where you post your 'lens' (their term for article/page/review/post etc) about whatever you want. Creating a lens can be easy, but some may find it tricky. You make a page using ... Read the complete review

It is a great website, you can write about your interests and earn some money as well. The website did not work for me,but it does not make the site any bad. Some time ago I was trying to make some money through affiliate marketing,I did my keyword research and wrote a lens(article) surrounding the keyword, since squidoo is a very popular website and it has a lot of back-links going,I thought my article would easily get indexed in the front page of google and I will get quiet good traffic to my article and eventually drive some sales, but none of my articles got indexed by google I don't know why,so I eventually gave it up.Now I will tell you a little bit about the features ... What is Squidoo? It is yet another website where you can make money by writing, not just reviews, but anything you like. Now I use the term "making money" guardedly - it all depends on what your idea of making money is. Let's be clear right from the off, you are not going to make any money using Squidoo, unless you are writing 'lenses' on subjects that are likely to attract a very high amount of traffic which then must result in click throughs. Even then it is unlikely to be any more than a token, and you might be lucky if it approaches a treat after a year. The revenue generated from these click throughs is shared ... I discovered squidoo in a review in dooyoo a few months ago, so I thought I would give it a try. Squidoo is yet another money making web-site that allows you to write reviews and articles in exchange for money, but it is far more versatile and complicated than most review sites such as dooyoo or ciao (I didn't say better) Reviews you have written on dooyoo could also be published on squidoo, but it would take you a bit longer, you wouldn't get 50p and probably no one would read it. With Squidoo you make a web-site (or "lens" as they call them) using their clever modular web-site creating tools, add the text and photographs and publish. You then need ... Read the complete review
