Advantages: An easy way to make extra money. Easy to use interface.

Disadvantages: Must be able to write to a good standard.

If you like writing for money, and I guess you do if you are on Dooyoo, then Squidoo is for you. Squidoo is a writing platform where you can publish medium length articles on your chosen subject. Some subjects seem to do better than others in their top 100 such as fashion or the latest DVD so you have the choice of either writing about something you know or researching and writing about something which will do well in the Squidoo rankings.

Each page you write is called a lens. Each lens has a rank and pays royalties. These royalties are generated when your lens is visited and the visitor clicks on an advertisers link and then buys something from say Amaon or Ebay. You can chose to receive 100% of your earnings yourself or donate to charity.
Royalties are paid via Paypal.

You can add funky widgets to your lens such as polls, YouTube videos and Flickr photos. Adding pictures is a must.

When you have completed your lens you can call yourself a Squidoo Lensmaster, woot! I think this was meant to have kudos and in the early days of Squidoo it did have but since the internet marketers adopted Squidoo the prestige value of being a Lensmaster has fallen.

The earning potential of Squidoo is up to you the writer. Important factors in becoming successful include - choice of subject, writing skills as a reviewer and your social marketing circle. Lenses can be posted on social bookmarking sites such as Digg, Delicious and Stumbleupon.

Other than that its very easy to use Squidoo and once you've done your pages and marketing for them the royalties make a steady monthly income.
