Advantages: I like the paper A4 all-in-one 90g/m2 and which was on offer
Disadvantages: Poor customer service
Bought in store previously but went online this time for paper (used for last 3 years, no problem with quality of that). Ordered Tues evening for Thur delivery. Confirmation email and links to track with courier. 'Welcome pack' (catalogue and standard letter) added to order. Welcome pack was all that arrived. Tracking page advised to contact courier who told me to contact Staples - at least that was 0800 number -and gave me 0844 number. Informed would be on separate delivery due to warehouse layout, they would chase and delivery by 6pm. No delivery. Website requests chase missing orders following day so Friday morning tried using link in the email if questions regarding order, repeatedly message stating 'address not recognized'. Used email option on Staples website for 'where's my order'. Would only work if I agreed to receive their newsletter. Finally got a response and apology (email and phone call) and order re-issued and delivered on Monday.
Whilst it was a small domestic order the service was not the way to treat a new customer. Why should a customer have to pay (0844) to phone re a missing order - their fault? Why should a customer have to agree to receive a newsletter in order to query a missing order by email? Having forced to agree to newsletter why no information on how to opt out of it?
Summary: Probably will not use on-line again.
