Customer service shambles.

Disadvantages: Dishonest or at best useless, over priced, true pain to deal with.
I bought an office chair from them at the beginning of December and it came damaged and very uncomfortable. I contacted CS and arranged a "quibble free" return which I found I had paid extra for(never saw a choice at the checkout). The pick up came around the 11th from TNT and by the 12th it had been signed for back at Staples. Never heard anything since but I assumed it had all gone through OK. Now its the 29th and I just got my bank statement and guess what, they never refunded my order.
I than called them up during their supposed working hours but couldn't get a hold of their accounts team I guess working hours do not apply to them. Called their customer service team also a 0844 number and after being answered I was put on hold for nearly 10min only to be told to call back Monday. At this point I was starting to get angry so I demanded to know what was going on this time they told me they would call me back by Monday. Another ten minutes later I received a call telling me I had never returned the item at all. I then gave them the TNT consignment number and the dates they received the return and their tone changed to "ever so sorry we will try to resolve the issue and re credit your account by Monday"
If I had never checked my bank statement I would never had got my money back and it would have been the easiest money they ever stole.( Still haven't received a refund yet but it's not Monday so we will see.)
