streetmap.co.ukNewest Review: ... location appears on the screen with an arrow directed at the immediate spot. I then click on "printable version" and print out a map of the particular location. Overall the maps on streetmap seem reasonably detailed and there hasn't been a time where the map hasn't corresponded to the actual location. One can also look up a map by typing in the street address too. The website works on advertising, so when printing out the map, a box will appear with an advert from the sponsor. The site also contains many advertising links related to the area. This seems to slow down the website slightly. I've tried a few other online map servic... more |

Whenever I need to visit a new location that I have never been before, the first thing I do is boot up the computer and type in streetmap into my web browser. Enter the post code of the location and map of the requested location appears on the screen with an arrow directed at the immediate spot. I then click on "printable version" and print out a map of the particular location. This is a site which will mean that you have no excuse to get lost again. This site provides address searching and street map facilities for the UK. They currently have street and road maps for the whole of mainland Britain. The search engine is excellent and will recognise all post codes in the UK. You can try how good it is by typing your own post code out and instantly finding a detailed, colour map of your area. And a yellow arrow to indicate the postal code and bingo you have found your own street. You can then maximise the size of the map, move it about etc. You don’t have to search only by post code, you can search: London ... Read the complete review

This is possibly the most useful site on the internet. Streetmap.co.uk is basically a road map. You can find anywhere you wish by either entering, a post code (you don’t even need all of it you can just type in the first half), a telephone code, a street name, or even a London street name (If you are looking for somewhere in London). Once you have decided how you are going to search, you have entered it, a lovely colour map will appear, you can then make bigger or smaller depending on what you are looking for. If the map does quite in the right place you then have arrows you can use to allow you to find the correct bit. We used this ... Read the complete review

Ok, This isn't a site that will tell you if you are hot or not, you won’t find any nasty or yummy email attachments with an option of anonymous sender to p*** of your enemies or friends, and you don’t have to empty your history folder after visiting the site. No fun, glamour or hanky panky, then what’s use of the site? You must be thinking. Well believe me it’s still a very useful site and very easy to use. Streetmap.co.uk is a site where you can find any street or place in UK(mainland only) with the map of the area displayed. The site is very simple and easy to use, and loads quickly. The layout and design of the site is average, ... Read the complete review
