Supanames used to be ok, but they are now expensive and uncaring. Their support is useless, and try to hang on to you by not actioning transfer requests. There are much better services available. They lose support tickets and simply do not care what quality of service they provide. Supanames have completely lost direction and their support team now frequently 'lose' support requests they don't like. Their servers have installed software that is four or five times behind the current public releases. Six days ago I ordered a 'start' package with a transfer of my existing domain name from SUPANAMES They have taken from my acount £57.49 which is the cost of a start package including the cost of a domain name. I have not heard a thing from them so I do not have a hosting service of any kind. The money has been debited from my bank account so I have asked for a refund. They do say they have a money back guarantee for the first thirty days. Well I like telephone support but I fortunately it seems suparnames donot have that . There are now under pipex and i will be avoiding anything pipex. That is how I work.

I have a business site with some content (brochures, articles etc) in pdf format. This is (but not for much longer) hosted on supanames. After uploading the content I checked that the links worked and put the site to bed. Some weeks later I wanted to print out one of my brochures - I clicked on the link and the file had gone. I thought I'd been hacked and reloaded the files. A couple of weeks later, again the files had gone. I investigated and found that supanames had removed them because pdf files were 'a download' and therefore against their terms and conditions. I had two sites with supanames. They seems to tick along fine for the first year and then things started to go wrong. First I paid for an additional feature on one of the sites. They then decided to not offer the feature. Despite the fact I had paid extra it was then deleted from my acccount. Second, when my one of my urls came up for renewal they said I had to renew it through them, despite the fact that I had brought it somewhere else previously, along with another two years hosting.
