I came across Supanames looking for a low-cost provider to host my web site.
For under 20 quid you get a UK domain name, 35mb of space, a POP email address and a variety of back-end technologies (php, cgi, etc) and you even get a MySQL database.

I read a review complaining about the FTP-only access, but anyone with even very little technical knowledge can use FTP (you can use Windows easily enough).

I've only been aware of one occasion over the last 1.5 years in which the service has been down, and that was only because supanames informed me themselves.

Support (via email) has been responsive and helpful and their control panel interface gives you excellent control of your details.

With all of this is at a price comparable to a forwarding-only domain, from my experience I can't recommend supanames enough.

Summary:
