Advantages: Use same account as on Sky Digital

Disadvantages: SLOW, Bad colour scheme.

I signed up to Talk21 about a year ago, because you can get e-mail through you Sky digibox, fair enough. But then about 5 months ago, I started using talk21 on the computers at school because you can use the same account that you use for Sky. I found this email site very fast, and had a good layout.

But since then, it has undergone a re-design, and it is now in the realms of terrible. For a start un-read emails kind of seem to be in the wrong colour, and are a duller colour than un-read ones which can be confusing (like when you click a link on a web-page it turns duller to show you that you have been there). Also the worst part is that it is VERY slow indeed to load up. The site seems to load the MULTIPLE ads before your mail, which can take a long time, added to the fact that it is simply to slow anyway. I found that from pressing the enter button, after putting your details on to logon, it takes approximately 40 seconds for the page to load, compared to Yahoo for example, which will take you about 10 seconds for you to get in.

This is very annoying, which has made me change my email using to Yahoo, and everyone.net's email system where you can have web-mail for your website. (eg if you own www.somesite.com, then you can set up webmail -which is fast, so you can have you@somesite.com and let all your friends use it too)

Overall, was quite good, but now is way too slow for any user.
