Newest Review: ... Anologue T.V. service which means that I cannot watch any teleext adverts on my Television anymore. When I contacted them, they said that they had decided not to offer the Analogue service anymore because South Wales was now a Digital ONLY Area. This means that thousads of people cannot access Teletext Holidays, etc. Does Teletext.UK. realise this is stuation ? Virgin Media were apologetic for the change to my service from them, but said that the whole of the U.K. would sooer or later be changing over to Digital T.V. and then there would no Teletext available anywhere. Is this the case ? if it is then what will TELETEXT. UK. do about it ?. ... more

I live in the Swansea area of South Wales and get my T.V. & Telephone service by Virgin Media cable. This wek they have cut off the Anologue T.V. service which means that I cannot watch any teleext adverts on my Television anymore. If you are looking for up to the minute news on your TV the best place to go is to the teletext pages, but did you know that it was the same on the internet? Teletext.co.uk is a web site that is maintained by the same people who do the telly version for channel four and ITV and channel five, so the news is always up to date and refreshed quickly. The news that they carry is not really big indepth stories, just little snippets to back up the headlines. They also do features on some stories which go into more detail. As well as the news service there is also a weather page which gives UK weather, a sports page with all the sports headlines, a holidays page which ...  Read the complete review

I may be sticking my neck on the line here, but I totally disagree with the majority of opinions about teletext.co.uk that have been posted here at Dooyoo before. Previous opinions have classed the teletext.co.uk website as underated, quick and bright. Well I am sorry, but I do not agree - here's my experience: Whilst I've been an avid user of the Television CEEFAX (BBC1 and 2) and TELETEXT (ITV1, C4, C5) pages since their launch in January 1993. It is only this year that I discovered www.teletext.co.uk which is the online version of the 24 hour television / Digital TELETEXT news and information service. LAYOUT & DESIGN If you ...  Read the complete review

If ever there was an underrated news and media online website then it has to be this one. Teletext.co.uk is now a thoroughly well devised and designed site having undergone somewhat of a complete overhaul in the last twelve months or so. It contains everything and anything you could possibly wish to view and everything is presented in a clear and easy to find layout. Your homepage lists all the subcategories of the site along the top, with key headlines of the day in news, sport and entertainment etc just one click away. Weather, Cinema listings, latest lottery results and finance headlines are also visible fron the homepage alone, often with pictures ...  Read the complete review

I expected this to be another poor site from a company that specialises in TV, but felt that they ought to dip their toe into the big internet lake. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The first thing I noticed was the clean uncluttered layout of the site, which is easy to navigate and informative. It also doesn't have the hundreds of banners that sites like MSN.co.uk have, that means it doesn't have that popular 'jumble sale' look. However, content is king, and teletext.co.uk has managed to bring the high quality service it has offered on TV for years, to the web very sucessfully. News is up to date, well reported and coverage is accompanied ...  Read the complete review
