8lb lighter and loving the diet! (tescodiets.com)
Member Name: Ljg1006
Advantages: Easy to use, great meal plans, options to swop, varied diets available Disadvantages: None that I've found yet
I have previously done Weight Watchers and have found this very effective (dropping 50lb over a 3 year period before the birth of my child). Since having my baby I have slowly put on the weight I lost, finding comfort eating and take-aways much easier than thinking about preparing healthy foods. Then I saw an offer on Tesco Diets - it cost me about £25 for 12 weeks so I thought for £1.99 a week I had little to loose (other than hopefully weight!). I looked through their diet choices and signed up for the wellbeing plan (they also have plans such as low salt, diabetic, GI, light choices and others which I cant think of off the top of my head!). Every week they create a menu plan for me, of which you can go in and swop any meals you don't fancy for other meals on the list. It's a very lazy way of dieting but I've found it very effective as I never have to think 'what's for tea' which is when I'd always go for the easy option (especially if I'd been at work all day). Most of the evening meals are really easy to prepare and can be done in 15-20 minutes. Plus when someone else is telling you want to cook you tend to use ingredients you wouldn't normally think of (well I wouldn't!) Last night we had chicken in a ginger, lemongrass, garlic and soy sauce with mange tout, asparagus and carrots. Tonight we have Tandori Chicken with spinach. My only beef is that I can only have 2 drinks a week and I do have a tendency to stretch that a little bit but I have been avoiding my weakness of lager. Summary: Easy and effective way to loose weight. |
