Thought I'd join in with the crowd and do one of these reviews. Hope you enjoy.
Q1. How did you discover Dooyoo?
I had been a member of ciao for a while and a friend on there told me about dooyoo.
Q2. Why did you join?
I love writing and of course I love money, but it's so much more than that.
Q3. What was your very first opinion on?
My first review on dooyoo was one on tescodvdrental and amazingly it got a crown, one of my only crowns at that.
Q4. Did you find it easy to get the hang of Dooyoo?
Pretty much yeah, only just recently found out about the community side of things however.
Q5. Did you read other opinions before you posted your first one?
No... I usually write what I want to write, I find reading other people's reviews on the same product makes you feel like yours is not worthy. I've actually done that a few times, read a review on a particular product and stopped the review I was writing because mine was not good enough.
Q6. Do you write no/some/many comments?
I myself love comments on my reviews. Reads and ratings are sure nice, however a comment shows that the member has read the review and has their own opinion on that product and they are always fun to read. Saying that, I do always tend to leave a comment, I may not have all the time in the world to read every review on this site, however I do believe a proper r/r/c is always the best answer. Don't always leave comments as I find sometimes my honesty can do more harm than good.
Q7. When you click on the list of Newest Reviews, do you read your friend's opinion no matter what they're on/according to subject no matter who has written it/preferably the opinion of new members?
I tend to read the people's in my circle of trust and then ones that interest me. I'm more likely going to read a review on a DVD I love than a DVD I hate.
Q8. Do you write your opinions in one sitting?
Yeah usually. I remember sitting down with my tescodvdrental one, it took me about three hours to complete. I am a scarily fast typer so usually can get a pretty decent review out in 10-20 minutes.
Q9. Do you use a spell check?
Yeah, my spelling is fine when it's pen to paper, but when it comes to computers I suck. Spell check is a god, however I've found that I tend to add made up words/spellings to my dictionary so get into trouble sometimes.
Q10. Do you think you can improve you chances of a crown if you suck up to a guide?
no.
Q11. Are you a member of a forum or chat room?
Yup
Q12. Does it get to you when members praise or condemn you?
YES. Praise is great, especially if they're ones that make you smile, however condemning my reviews does get on my nerves sometimes, especially when people are so wrong. One thing I really hate is when people don't agree with your opinion and rate you low... everyone has a chance to have their own opinions.
Q13. What did you do with your spare time before joining Dooyoo?
Work/School/Sports/Computing. Still pretty much the same stuff I do now.
Q14. What do you wish for the future?
Become one of the leading British women Directors or Screenplay writer.
