Advantages: very customisable, good stats, performs well

Disadvantages: on very rare ocassions may not work for a few hours

After searching for thebest free counter on the web, I decided upon The Counter. 9 months later I am still a satisfied customer.
With The Counter you can track how many times a certain visitor visits your web site or which country visitors come from. The Counter will tell you which words have been used in searches to find your site and which web sites visitors were linked to your web site!
The Counter itself is a good looking picture but if you prefer to have an invisible version then you can! A few other versions other than the typical rectangle blue are also available.
There have been minor problems when thecounter.com have upgraded and my counter as a results did not record for 1 day. This can be frustrating but apart from 1 or 2 minor glitches, The Counter is the counter to get for your web site. Highly recommended!
