Advantages: Its free, A jacpot of 1 million pounds., A new scratch card game.
Disadvantages: Poor prizes for 3 matches.
The daily draw is a free online lottery for UK residents. The prizes on offer range from £25 to £1,000,000. You can play twice a day. The website is easy to understand with bright colours and quite self explanatory. To register you have to: Enter your name, e-mail address and address, and a few preferences about the type of adverts you want to display. After you have registered to play you play by the following steps: 1) Log in. 2) Select either 6 numbers yourself, select to play 6 random numbers or select to play random numbers. 3) Click on a advert. 4) The advert is then opened in a different screen. 5) Wait untill the next day to see if you have won. If you match 6 numbers you get £1,000,000, if you match 5 numbers you get £1,000, if you match 4 numbers you get £10. If you match 3 numbers you get arrange of 2 for the price of one offers. Once you have completed the lottery game you then are giving a scratch card. With this scratch card you can win prizes of between £5 and £50. To play the scratch card you have to 1) Select a advert to view 2) The advert is opened in 1 window and the scratch cad in another. 3) Select 4 squares out of the 16 available. 4) If 4 symbols are revealed you have won a prize of between 5 and 15 pounds. After the scratch card you are giving the opportunity to refer a friend. If you refer a friend and your friend wins the jackpot you win £25,000. There is also the accumulator draw that is a prize draw to witch you accumulate entries by matching 6 numbers in a month on the main draw. The prize varies from month to month. Regular prizes are of the sort of win a sports-car for the weekend. I like the daily draw. The only problem is after a year as a member I still have not won anything, so I don't know if they pay or not. The daily draw sents a few junk e-mail's but not many. The daily draw also has
just had its first 1 million pounds winner.

- 20/05/03 Shame they've change the payout to £40,000 per year for 25 years. Taking into account inflation, this probably halves the payout (since £40,000 in 25 years won be worth very much). Also, you cannot splash out as much - this could be a good thing though so that the money lasts.
What happens if the company goes into liquidation - does that mean that you lose the rest of the winnings?.
They have also got rid of the monthly accumulator prize, which was worth about £5000.
£40,000 per year is a good enough prize though since it's free and easy to play - think I'll keep playing. |
