Advantages: Free to donate to charity

Disadvantages: you could waste a few seconds of time but no more time than you are wasting right now

Today I fed a starving child a cup and a half of rice, I didn’t see the child, I didn’t pay a penny for it, I just clicked my mouse and bingo. I feel all warm inside now. You can feel warm too by visiting http://www.hungersite.com/

When you get to the hungersite, you are presented with a map of the world every 3.6 seconds an country goes dark, this signifies that someone died there, chances are it was a child since 74% of the 24,000 of the people that die each year are children.

Now for the nice warm bit, clicking on the donate now button sends you to another screen all you have to do is view a number of ads, the people that put the adds there will donate a quarter of a cup of rice to starving people. You don’t pay a penny (particularly if you do it at work) simple and painless. I’ve no idea why it isn’t more popular.

The hungersite reckons it will donate 2.5 million cups of rice every week

The site has linked up to other charities to do a similar thing
From the same site I donated 14.4 feet of rainforest, 15 seconds of care for kids dying from aids, 1 capsule of vitamin A to underprivileged kids, 11 mammograms to underprivileged women and 73 hours of outreach care to landmine victims.

These sites can make a difference no matter how small to people all over the world, and anyway it’ll make you feel good. Make it your homaepage I did.
