thestreet.co.uk Internet Site

Newest Review: ... I really did have time for. Besides there's not much point in knocking it if it's going to be shutting down - it's probably not too late to pay it a visit. Key features which make it a winner for me include graphical displays of high and lows, details of dividend payouts, and lots of other stuff too complicated for me to understand let alone explain, but nevertheless, when displayed graphically, I at least think I know what the underlying trends are. Summaries of financial news help me keep abreast of what's going on in the financial world without having to buy a big pink, boring paper every day - and I also enjoyed taking p... more

I have just received an email indicating that the street is now closed, no, not due to road works, but for good, due to a take over by thestreet.com, a site that I can't say I have ever visited. I must admit that although on my PC at home the last thing on my mind is stocks and shares, the street was one site that I really did have time for. Besides there's not much point in knocking it if it's going to be shutting down - it's probably not too late to pay it a visit. thestreet.co.uk can be a useful site with all its information, news and stats! but it also can be a bit over crowded! TheStreet Newsletter is a fairly useful source of information, which they send out twice everyday! In the Newsletter you will have news about whats happened in the market during the morning and the second one is for the afternoon. All in all I would not use the site but I would subcribe to their Newsletter!! ...  Read the complete review

The street is one of the most informative financial sites on the web. I visit the street almost every day to keep up to date with what is happening in the city. The sites home page is very clean and clear there is not too much information thrown at you all at once. The sites clean pages means that they are quick to load and very easy to navigate. If you choose to read a particular article they are always well written, very informative with lots of relivant information. At the bottom of that article there are always links that will take you to more information on the company or subject matter. There is a portfolio tracker in the site and you can look up stock quotes ...  Read the complete review

I visited this site after seeing an advert for it in the paper and it now has pride of place as one of my bookmarks. Basically, the site offers finacial news throughout the day with a good deal of analysis and opinion to go with it as well. Also available is a twice daily email update which tells you what news and views are on the site at the minute so you can decide whether to pay a visit or not. It also contains news on what may happen in the market during the day as a result of press reports or bid comment etc. They are also running a competition to see who can make the most money from a fantasy portfolio which all adds to the enjoyment of the site.
