DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY (thetrainline.com)

After booking my train ticket last monday with the intent of travelling on the friday, i arrived at Leeds train station to collect my pre-booked tickets from the fast ticket machine. However when i put my debit card into the machine i was informed that my reference number did not match! i went to the booking booth and customer services who both informed me that i would have to pay £111 if i wanted to travel! I was disgusted with this as i had already paid! The problem continued until about 5minutes before my train was due to leave and I was in a state of panic. I rang the trainline help line, or should i say helpless line! the guy completely disregarded my problem and told me that the staff at the station would sort it as there was nothing he could do! dispicable! In the end i had to practically beg the guard to let me travel, this was the same on my return journey. Summary: A very stressful situation that cost alot of money and hassle |
