My mother lives in Leicester, and I live in London. With the hike in petrol prices it was becoming more and more expensive to go and see her. So I decided to look at the cost of the train. I searched around on all the different train websites, and then came across thetrinline.com. The website is designed to give you ... Read the complete review

When I'm looking to go away for the weekend I tend to prefer to go on the train than driving. By logging on The Train Line you can save an average of 43% compared to buying at the station on the day. Not a sum to be scoffed at! In addition you can keep checking for cheap promotional tickets and quickly and securely purchase when some ... Read the complete review

Awful, awful design and usability. I hate the way it makes you register, adds journeys to your bill with no way to remove them until very late, awful search usability. Worst of all though is their complicity in the great rail fares swindle where a standard ticket costs the earth and firs t class open return is purely for fat business people with an expense account to burn. If i could safely travel without getting a ticket I would as the operators are nothing short of criminals. And now add to that thetrainline's smug advertising campaign.

I don't many train journeys but when I do, I never cease to be shocked and amazed at the never ending price rises. I thought we were hitting deflation mr train operator!. Unfortunately I don't control the prices of these train fares but what I can do is search for the cheapest prices I can find for any given journey. This is of course where ... Many train tickets across the UK cost more than plane tickets to Europe - so with this is mind, I am always trying to find a cheap option. The website, moneysavingexpert.com is always recommending booking 2 months early with a site such as trainline.com. I don't do a lot of travelling by train but now and again go to London and ... Presumably somehow, somewhere there exists an effective means of quickly transferring useful and accurate information on train timetables, routes and prices to the general public, but in my experience I can say that thetrainline.com definitely isn't it. It's a website which in theory you can use to plan your railway journey anywhere in ... Read the complete review

My friends and I decided to go to Cardiff to see the Dr Who exhibition, well... I decided to drag them there. So as soon as we decided when we wanted to go I decided to look at train prices etc. I looked at various other sites such as nationalrail.co.uk and many others. However, I actually decided to buy the tickets off of this site. Simply ... Read the complete review

The Train Line is a UK wide website allowing passengers to check train information as well as actually booking tickets in advance for travel. The site isn't associated with one single train company so you get all the options availble to you for the particular route for your journey. thetrainline.com is my first stop for train tickets. Their layout can take a little getting used to and can be difficult to navigate but once you get used to how it works then it can be very quick. I use this website mainly to book advance tickets, as it actually costs more when you include the fee for paying by card than it would at ... Read the complete review

I have been using thetrainline.com to book train tickets for the last couple of years. It is a website with information on train times in the UK and you can also book tickets on it. The Trainline is an really useful website to look up times, prices, and book train tickets in the UK. Firstly, I always buy my train tickets from Trainline due mainly to the fact that I always hear that it is the cheapest website. Therefore I cannot compare with sites such as the First Great Weston. The current advertising campaign for the trainline centres massively on how you can gain reduced fares on the site. This is certainly true, but by no means are these the cheapest prices on the net.
