Email is a way to send files and messages to people, for completely free!

So, what are the pros?
The pros are that email is a free and easy way to send important data and files to people. Whats more, is that it is completely instant, as apposed to normal mail and faxes taking longer.

So, what are my tips on using email?
Firstly, only open emails from people that you know, many people out there send viruses and the like, or try to get personal bank details

Secondly, just think. If someone really knew how to make a million pounds, why would they tell you? And as for buying a certain drug beginning with V? Just get it from a qualified pharmacist if you really want some. And no, Barack Obama hasn't got cancer (just the latest spam message to arrive in my email address)

Thirdly, when you do receive an email that is spam, mark it as spam. This will automatically send it to your spam folder, meaning that you can tidy up your inbox just a little bit.

Thirdly, make sure that your email provider scans all the emails you receive for emails automatically. As i am an yahoo, i know that they do this, but i cannot vouch for other suppliers.

And fourthly, if you get an "email" off your bank, do not open or reply to it. Chances are, its just a hacker. If they do send an email with a "link" to the bank site, don't use the link, get to your banking site yourself, some people may use "phising" sites, that look similar, almost identical to your actual banks website.

Email is a brilliant tool, and can save an awful lot of time and money, just be careful with it
