DESCRIPTION OF THE SITE, FROM THE SITE:

In 1997 Suzuki released the TL1000S motorcycle (often referred to as the TLS), since then the japanese twin has developed an almost cult like movement amongst riders. A year later, Suzuki added another horse to the stable, this time the race oriented TL1000R (TLR). Originally designed to be the "duke killer" ("Duke" = Ducati) the bike boasted more horsepower than its italian rival, and a price tag that made it affordable to the daily rider. Since their inception the TL series has been turning heads on the pavement, so it just seemed logical to have a place to talk about them when summer days have gone, and the next trackday is still a few days away. Thus, TLZone was created, and is now the largest and most popular online bulletin board to discuss all things TL related. Not only is TLZone the place to come to talk about bikes, but has also become a strong community of bikers who share interests outside of riding. Whether you're new to riding, or a seasoned racer, there is something for everyone in the Zone. Come on in and scrub the tires.

I think the above sums up the site very accurately. TLZone was created after controversy gripped the original site named www.TLPlanet.com, as far as I know confidence in the predecessor has been restored. However the vast majority of users were transfered to TLZone with the help of some excellent site administrators who put in more effort than any member can truly appreciate.

My belief is that the following reasons are due to it's success:

- Faithful and honest administrators.

- Riders of the TL model are passionate about bikes, as the TL is the least forgiving of big cc motorcycles.

- TL's were flawed by design and this led to many questions being asked and alternative resolutions being searched out, these involved the general reliability and handling. "A problem shared" as they say.

- Reliability of hosting and superior maintenance of the site.

- Ease of use.

- Financial benefits for Members (prize draws, parts discounts, etc.).

- Various degrees of membership to suit occasional, regular or heavy user.

- Variety of different areas (i.e. TL related forum, general chat forum, parts for sale forum, picture gallery forum, chat, store, votes, etc.).

SUMMARY:

TLZone attracts decent bikers with integrity, a good sense of a humour and a willingness to help his fellow biker. Having been a member for 3 years plus, I feel confident that if I were to ride anywhere and meet a fellow TL member/owner he or she would help if needed, or even just invite me in for a drink. I have made some excellent friends and witnessed overwhelming examples of help and always gratitude to follow. Simply put, if you have a Suzuki TL1000S or a TL1000R, you should be on TLZone.net.
