Advantages: Low effort, decent number of surveys

Disadvantages: Really stingy points system! The usual problem of non-eligible surveys

Toluna is a site where you can build up points to redeem for vouchers by writing opinions and answering surveys, and voting for sponsored polls.

Points mean prizes - eventually: you'll rack up quite a lot of points quickly (you get 300 for each of your profile sections you complete), anything between a few hundred and 5000 for completing surveys, and up to 150 for voting in sponsored polls. However, don't be fooled because you need a whacking 60,000 points for a £10 Amazon voucher! I just got my first voucher redeemed after about 6 months!

The problem with surveys: as with all paid survey sites you won't be eligible to complete all the tempting surveys that you get emailed - but that's pretty standard for these things.

Voting: you get 15 points for voting on the standard sponsored polls - so you'd need to vote 4,000 times on these to get £10 Amazon/£12 HMV voucher - really not worth the effort of clicking! But there are often a couple of votes worth up to 150 points - you just need to check the website semi-regularly.

Opinions: you get points for writing opinions (minimum 80 words) - but only 100 - again, not very generous!

This is one of those sites to have running in the background and not expect too much from, and eventually you'll find yourself with a free £10 voucher!

Summary: Not the best survey site, but not the worst either (faint praise...)
