Fancy a flutter? Well, tombola.com has to be one of the well known sites around after all it is advertised on television every time you tune into Emmerdale. Infact the theme tune is very catchy, I have been a member for almost a year now and its easy to join, you have to enter your age, date of birth , email address and home address as well as telephone number and mobile numbers incase you win and they need to get in touch with you.
You have to agree to terms and conditions and also be over 18 to play.
Once you have signed up you can enter your debit or credit card details to add money to your account to play with, the best thing about this site is that you can play with paypal money so you don't have to enter any card details if you don't want and if you have no money in your paypal account you cannot play , not like with a credit card where you can get tempted to add more money to gamble with.
If you are gambling too much you can also set an account limit. I recommend you do this straight away then you have no danger of gambling loads and getting into debt. I have seen people on this site and other bingo sites say in the chat rooms just how much they have lost sometimes it has been hundreds of pounds which is shocking but it does happen, after all it is gambling and gambling is very addictive.
Setting a limit helps not to give into temptation and my limit is £10 a week, I don't smoke or drink. So, this is my little treat for the week, I use my paypal money and if it's not in the paypal account I don't play.
The games on this site all have a chat room with them so you can chat to other players and get to know other members, there are lots of games that are just 10p to play, the most expensive game on the site is £2.50 so its reasonably monitored.
Some sites have no limit on what you can bet each game which I think is bad for the gambler who is addicted, as they can spend to much and lose to much.
Here tombola has taken things into account and set reasonable limits on what you can gamble, after all it is there to make money.
There are bingo rooms where you can play 90's bingo which plays one line, two lines and then full house.
Bingo 50 which is one line then full house.
Bingo lite, bingo 80's bingo lite and bingo 75 where you can win full houses.
The cards cost from 25p up to £2.50 for maximum cards and you can win jackpots from £200 upwards depending on where you play, but you have to bingo the full house in the allotted numbers required to win a jackpot. Someone won £10,000 last week which was great for them. I have won £20 for a line a few times and last night won £18 in one of the line games. I have also won on the bandit game £10 and the games are won every five minutes by one of the members until the jackpot is won, then the jackpot amount is reset.
It's easy to navigate and fun to play, deposits are instant and withdrawals into your paypal account take two days, once you have claimed a withdrawal it goes into processing and you cannot reverse it so you know its safely going to land into your paypal account and your not going to get tempted to cancel the withdraw and spend your winnings.
I like this site the best, its friendly, easy to play and understand the games. There are battleships, racing games predict football results, bingo and bandit games to play. You can set your limit to play each week and you can have fun sensibly as well as make new friends.
They also send out bonus codes where the site gives you a code to enter which gives you money to play with, there are lots of promotions to be given from the site so it's worth joining als there are chat games the hosts play where you can do a quiz to win money.
Have fun. See you there.
Tombola is an online bingo and gaming site. One of the ones I have more recently started to use, mainly because they offered me a free £5. When I signed up originally I deposited £10 to allow me to play their free daily play game. This game changes frequently and is currently called lucky pick where you pick 6 squares a day uncovering cash amounts. When you uncover a set amount of one cash sum you win it! Haven't won yet. I then was offered free £5 to take a short survey. I did this and withdrew my original £10.
They offer a bonus match when you deposit and its a simple site to navigate. Minimum withdrawal is £10 and you are asked to register a credit or debit card as part of the registration. If your card expires you can only be paid by cheque. Similarly, if you are fortunate enough to win in excess of £1000, the payout is only by cheque.
Depositing is straight forward also, and available 24 hours a day. The FAQ sections answers most common questions, and you are able to contact the team to answer anything more complex. I haven't had to use this service yet and therefore can't comment on this.
All in all a good daily site, worth registering and seeing what you get.
tombola.com is an online bingo and gaming site.
To join up is simple you just need to create a username, password etc and provide some basic details about yourself.
They have a long term offer running that when you create a new account and deposit £25 they will match your deposit thus giving you £50.00 to play with.
There are quite a few games on the site and more are due in the future according to people who chat in the bingo rooms.
They have bingo games from 2p per ticket and 10p per strip and the website is frequently advertised during the daytime so you may well have heard their adverts already.
There are four versions of bingo with various balls called and patterns required to win either the one line, two line or full house prizes. You can choose for the numbers to be daubed for you or to do it all manually yourself.
There is also games such as battleships and cinco so there should be something for most people if you don't like to play bingo much.
There is a game online called Freefall which is free and you can have a go every single day (providing you've deposited £5.00 or more since 26th August 2008) and I've won a few £5.00 prizes on this over the last few months or so.
The chatrooms are normally moderated which means no swearing, flooding, general rule breaking etc and there is quite a nice atmosphere in the bingo rooms and everyone is really encouraging each other to win (especially when you've got just one number to go and are shouting at the screen!).
Overall I would say that the site is very well run and the incentive of being able to play the free game each day was what encouraged me to deposit some money. I normally log on most days and although I don't deposit cash very often (I'm unemployed now so can't afford to) I do enjoy the free game at least a few times a week!
I would highly recommend this site and look out for cashback offers on other websites such as £5.00 to join up and deposit £5.00! You will get your £5.00 cash match and £5.00 from topcashback (or whoever is running the promotion that has caught your eye).
I am rating this site 4/5 as some of the prizes are very small when you take in to consideration the amount of people playing and the amount of money being bet.
visit tombola.com to check out cheap online gambling/games.....I did recently after seeing their TV ad over and over and over again.......bingo for 2p a go I thought....damm it's to good to miss lol.
The sign up process was easy enough and there is a signup bonus where by TOMBOLA will match your first deposit upto 25 pounds. After the quick sign up process you are playing away to your hearts content. I have played on a few online gaming sites and TOMBOLA in my opinion is slightly differnt.
The games for starters are fairly simple and easy to use, the only real choice you have to make is what game to play and how much you want to stake/bet. The current game choices are as follows:
I am well informed aswell (one of the CM - Chat moderators I know) that TOMBOLA are currently in the process of making a whole new load of games which they hope to launch soon!
FREEFALL - is a FREE game that access daily to win FREE, yes I said FREE prizes, I have only been playing on TOMBOLA for about a fortnight and I have won 5 pound on freefall already.
BANDIT is my fav game so far, there are 4 rooms to enter where bets range from 10p to 2 pound and all the players are placed in a league for each game, the bandit rolls it's reels 20 times (i think) and depending on what you get from each roll relates to how many points you get - this moves you up and down the league as the game progresses, after the last roll the player at the top of the league wins the pot.
I have played all the games so far and BANDIT is my fav liek I said, I also like the bingo games as they are easy and a decent amount of money can be won, a majority of the games on TOMBOLA link to unite all the rooms to create bigger jackpots at regular times which is always exciting as you never know if you could win.
Even though I have only been playing on TOMBOLA for about a fortnight, I have already noticed a few people whining about them not winning and it seeming like the same people win, but from what I have witnessed it is quite random who wins and I have no problem with it, I signed up and deposited 15 quid so TOMBOAL gave me 15 quid as a bonus, I have won 5 pound on FREEFALL and yesterday I won roughly 95 quid in a quick combo of BINGO 80 and BANDIT.
Funds can be withdrawn fairly easy and hel pis at hand 24 hours a day should you ever get stuck, from what I have seen the whole website is well thought out and very user freindly.
Overall I really like TOMBOLA - in comparrison to others I prefer it because of it's simplicity and ease and will continue to play and hopefully win!
This is a website that I have been visited every odd day for the past year or so. While I have been on this site, I have had had a lot of fun playing their games, but I have never actually won anything, and in fact, none of the other people I know have won any money so far. Its a shame though seen as I practice so much, and I am actually getting quite good at some of the games, but in my opinion, the play for money part of the game seems to be a lot harder, so I have to keep playing.
Some of the games I had never heard of before, and some I had, and there are even some that I am really good at, without having to practice all of the times. I have played hours of game play on this site, and some would say, too much time, and to be honest, some people would think that it was a pointless waste of time.
Even though I dont win money, I still enjoy the games, so it has gotten to the point where I am playing for fun and if there is any money involved, well that is just an added bonus.
Web address:- http://www.tombola.com
Tombola .com is a free website to join that gives you an opportunity to play fun games daily for a chance of winning free prizes and cash. It is free to join and free to play and has no hidden charges.
How to Join.
To register on Tombola.com is straight forward and most important of all it is totally FREE. All you need to do is simply supply your email address, choose a password, confirm the password, choose a nickname and add your referrers nickname if your friend has referred you. Click the join button and that is it, you are now a member of the free site Tombola.com.
Sadly, this is where the site actually has a small problem; it only has six games to play plus a bonus game, which you can play when you earn 10 bonus points. The games are called Hamster Race, Spin to Win, Hang On, I-scratch, Money Spider and Winning Lines. You can play each of these games just once a day and for each of the six games you play, you earn one bonus point per play. As I said, accumulate 10 bonus points and you get a chance to play the bonus game to try to win a digital camera.
Hamster Race: - This is a game, which you just start by clicking the start button, and the hamsters will then begin to race. At the top of the game, you will see two hamsters, which have been chosen randomly by the computer as you entries for position one and two. If at the end of the race your two hamsters match position one and two with the race results you can win a massive £1000. If you only match the first position winner you can win a £5.00 CD Wow voucher. There are only six hamsters in the race so the odds are good to win a CD Wow voucher.
Spin-To-Win:-The object of this game is to click on each of the nine reels of the fruit machine to start them all rolling. If you match any three identical symbols either horizontally, diagonally or vertically you win the corresponding Cash Prize. All the reels will stop randomly via the computer. Please note that all £5 prizes are actually a £5 CD Wow Voucher.
Hang On: - This is basically a scratch card type of game in which you click on each f the balloons floating in the box to pop them. When they pop, they reveal a cash amount, and if you match three identical cash amounts, you win that prize. There are nine balloons to pop in total and again it is all randomly computer generated. You could win anything from £5.00 CD Wow voucher up to £1000 in cash.
Winning Lines: - The computer randomly shows you symbols which appear on the board and you must click that matching symbol to reveal it. It you illuminate four in a row either vertically or horizontally you win anything from a £5.00 CD Wow voucher up to £500 in cash. The figure you will win is indicated at the end of each vertical and horizontal column.
I-Scratch: - This is a scratch card with nine circles to be scratched on it. Each card background can vary from day to day but the idea is always the same. Scratch to reveal all the circles and if you match three identical symbols, you win the corresponding amount for that symbol shown in the prize panel. Prizes vary from a £5.00 CD Wow voucher up to a massive £5000 cash prize.
Money Spider:- A simple game in which you have to click on the small flies flying around in the box and this will make the spider shoot out a web to catch them and reveal a cash amount. Match three identical cash amounts and win that prize. Prizes range from a £5.00 CD Wow voucher up to £1000.
The Bonus Game: - The Bonus game can only be played for every 10-bonus points you have available on your account. You earn the bonus points for playing the other five games daily and are rewarded anything from one bonus point for each game played. The idea is you are presented with the twelve signs of the zodiac on a disc style coin. You must click five of the star signs in the order you choose and try to guess the winning combination. You can only use each star sign once. Guess the combination right and you will win a digital camera. Remember it costs 10 bonus points per play on the bonus game.
There is a hall of fame, which allows you to view the previous prize-winners names and amounts they have won. My details enable you to edit any details you have entered at any time from your email address to your password, nickname and country. The site gives you a help section to answer any questions you may have, but if the answer is not, there you can email the feedback team from the link provided and they will answer your question for you. Play-mates is a section, which enables you to refer your friends to Tombola.com, this has an added bonus too. If you play everyday, they do, and they win a cash prize above £20, then you win £20 but you must both have been playing everyday for the last seven consecutive days before that prize is won to qualify. The same rules stand for the £5.00 CD Wow voucher but if the friend you referred wins that then you win a £5.00 CD Wow voucher too. Finally, there is a section called about us which allows you to view all the details about tombola.com and who commissions them plus all the contact details you could need.
I must confess as it is free I do play tombola.com everyday. I have never actually won a prize and it does only take me about ten minutes to play everything on there, but then again for ten minutes of your time you never know your luck. It is quite a boring site in my opinion but then again it is a free site and you never know for ten minutes you may actually have a chance of winning anything from a £5.00 CD Wow voucher up to £5000. It is simple and straightforward to register and there are full instructions of how to claim your prize if you are lucky enough to win, which I think, is very informative. The animation and graphics are not the best, but as I said what do you expect for nothing. It is very disappointing that when you compare it to other free sites with cash prizes it is very limited but then again you do get very bored very quickie on there anyway. I like the way they have used there referral system for this site that allows you to have even more chances to win, but it is a shame the site is so limited as it will put off your friends from joining. If you choose to join, remember to play everyday as it only takes about ten minutes and somebody has to win. If I am ever lucky enough to win, I will let everyone know. Good Luck on tombola.com if you join too.
this company is associated with the suns starstuck game card. at the weekend many people visited this site to play their i scratch game me included and because of technical error most people had winning cards me included.have recieved e mail from them saying that i will be entered into prize draw for £50 as goodwill gesture.not so bad for me as i had only won or thought i had won £20 but my daughter thought she had won £5000 so she is not happy at all.dont know how many people are involved here but qiuite a lot by the sound of things all were expecting e mail to congratulate them on their win today instead getting slap in the face 100 people won £50 each as consellation prize but i bet quite a few of them thought they had won more would give this site a wide berth
Tombola.com is a great site with fun games where you can win prizes of cash like £20 or £50 or even £200 and also have a chance of winning £5 vouchers to spend on purchases at the cd-wow site which sells music cd's. There are usually about six games to play so that is six chances of winning! The current games are ------ i:scratch - this is like a scratchcard where you use your mouse to uncover some panels. If you match three the same you are a winner. snakes - this is a funny game of snakes and ladders and if you land on a prize you win that prize. hang-on - you burst some balloons with prizes inside them and if you match three the same you are a winner. spin to win - this is like a slot machine or one-armed bandit as they used to be known. If you get three the same in a line in any direction you win! fetch - this is a game from the lycos site in which you send a dog to see if you have won. You can also get bonus points to enter additional games sometimes, you get these by playing the other games. You can log in to try to win every single day so if you don't win there is always tomorrow. I have been playing it for months and haven't won but they have a list of winners and it seems like many people do win. I even noticed one person had won £200 which would buy quite a few double vodka and cokes! If you join you can put my email address firstname.lastname@example.org as the person who sent you but even if you don't want to use my address you can still join because it is a great site with prizes and fun games! P.S. you will need to have macromedia flash installed to be able to play but most people have that and if you haven't the site will tell you and tell you where to get it and it's free.
Tombola.com has been around as long as I've been using the internet. It's a game site where you play simple games for free and, if you're very lucky, you can win cash prizes of up to several thousands pounds. The games are quick and incredibly easy - no discernible brainpower required, in fact - and you can play each one once per day. Some of the games change from time-to-time, but there are generally five to choose from. Playing them all will only take five minutes of your time. The current games are: I:SCRATCH As the name suggests, this game consists of an online scratch card. Scratch cards are themed, with scenarios like supermarket, office and fairground. Scratch off nine circular panels with your mouse, and if you reveal three matching pictures, you are a winner. Prizes range from a £5 cd-wow voucher to a luverly £5,000. Time to load: About 3 seconds on broadband. Time to play: One to two minutes. HAMSTER Sponsored by a bookmakers, this game gives you the chance to win up to £1,000. Six hamsters compete in a race. You start the race by clicking a button, and that's your bit done. Two hamsters are chosen for you, and if they win in the order they are chosen, then you bag some booty. Time to load: About 5 seconds on broadband Time to play: The race itself takes about one minute. SPIN TO WIN An online fruit machine with nine panels. click each one to set them spinning. If you get three matching symbols in a line, you win anything from a £5 cd-wow voucher to a whopping FIVE GRAND. Time to load: Almost instant on broadband Time to play: One minute max HANG-ON Nine balloons float about and it's your job to pop each one with a click of your mouse. Once popped, each balloon reveals a cash amount. Match three for a win of a £5 cd-wow voucher to
£1000 cash. Time to load: Instant on broadband (give or take a millisecond) Time to play: 30 seconds to a minute PERFECT MATCH Sponsored by Lycos, this game uses that annoying dog of theirs to reveal ten pictures of either men or women. You click or the dog to reveal each picture. Above this is a grid of 16 photos, and you have to match the photo the dog reveals to one on the grid. match four in a line and you can win the usual £5 cd-wow voucher and several cash prizes up to that stupendous FIVE GRAND. EXTRAS There is an extra scheme they run called PLAY MATES. If you refer someone to Tombola and they win a prize, you get £20. Unless they win a £5 cd-wow voucher, in which case you get the same. ADDICTABILITY As you can see, the games are simple in the extreme and pose no challenge to even the tiniest brain. Which means they're not really much fun in themselves. But then neither are real scratch cards or fruit machines, and they're as popular as ever. You play Tombola to see if you can win. End of story. All well and good, but what are your chances of winning? Well, that's a closely guarded secret, but as Tombola declares itself 'one of the stickiest sites on the web' - i.e. it is VERY popular - they're probably not high. I've been playing almost daily for a couple of years now and I've won one £5 voucher in that time. People DO win though - every single day - and if you want to know who they are, there is a Hall of Fame link where you have a nosey. Any other info? Yes, the site has a nice clean, crisp design on a white background, making it easy on the eye, and navigation is simplicity itself through a series of links at the left and the top of each page. And, if you're interested, Tombola UK are based in Sunderland. The parent company is the
Edward Thompson Group, founded in the 1870s, who have been producing bingo tickets since 1957, making them one of the leading manufacturers in the world, supplying to over 45 countries globally. So there! In the last two and a half years, the site has given away more than £1,700,000. The site also contains a demographic profile of the people who play. And would you believe that the largest single group by job status are SENIOR MANAGEMENT?! So THAT'S what they're really doing when the door's closed and they're not taking calls. DON'T LET THEM GET AWAY WITH IT - START PLAYING NOW AND BEAT THEM TO THE PRIZES!
I've just tryed to find somebody who have actually won something on this site. they claim that there are hundreds of people out there, but To believe this I want to win myself. It might be true about 5-20 quid , but to win more ... I still trying though. As well as lots of my friends do. None of them won anything yet. But the games are fun, they are "i-scratch", "Perfect match"(new from lycos"), "Hang -on", "Spin to win" and my favourite is "Hamster race"- You get a play ticket with two names of the racing hamsters and off they go. Ones my second hamster on the ticket came second- I was very exited, but the minute later came up the usual "sorry you didn't win today". I thought -can't be, the sistem must be wrong - well apparently you only win if your first hamster from the ticket comes first or both of your hamsters come to the finish line in order which stated on your ticket. Well, gonna read the rules first from now on, shall I?:) Let me know if you win something, good luck.
Tombola.com? What's that? Dearie me, where have you been? Surely all you money earners out there haven't passed by one of the easiest ways to grab a few bob on the Internet. No, no that wasn't a guarantee from me, but more about that later. All you have to do to be in with a chance is to register on the site and partake in a few games. Its all completely free and there's no annoying banners to click on various companies advertising. The site is very easy on the eye, a soft white with red lettering of course there's adverts, mostly of a gambling nature, but how else will they make their money?, there also a distinct lack of annoying pop-ups, dare I say far fewer than a particular site I am currently perusing! Tombola hasn't got a myriad of games at the present there are only 5. These are I-scratch which consists of scratching panels from a lovely little picture, this changes periodically, usually being season based. Halloween was a picture of witches with scratch offs featuring bats, skulls, black cats and a few spooky more, you control a big coin and you even get the scratchy noise effects!!. The idea is simple, get 3 matching symbols and you've won. Then you can peruse the symbols and start planning how to spend your winnings! The smallest prize is a £5 Amazon voucher up to £5000 in cask! There's also Spin to Win which is a bit like a giant fruit machine and again matching 3 symbols, and the prizes are the same as above. Hang-on is a rather bizarre little game consisting of cartoon faces (kinda potato shaped and lurid colours) hanging from balloons. As you pop each balloon a ticket appears with various monetary amounts on them, then you've guessed it, match 3 and its yours. I suppose the strangulate ow's and oo's are supposed to add a little fun to the proceedings. And onwards we go, once you've pleasured yourself with these its on to the furry little creatures. Hamster is a bit d
ifferent, its involves, ahem, hamsters, you don't have to match them either, what you do have is 6 hamsters taking part in a race. 2 are randomly selected for you, they go by such names as Spike and Patch and they have to come first and second to win a prize. The bobbing up and down of the hamsters as they go along is quite surreal and the clanky circus music is just damn annoying! Fetch is actually run by Lycos, so when you click on it another screen will pop up. Fetch involved (funnily enough), a dog dashing off to catch different coloured frisbees, each colours relates to a monetary value, it catches 3 of the same and Voila, you've won. Fetch is perhaps the most interesting of them all. Your dog has already caught 2 £5000 frisbees and out flies another one, only to see Fetch running off after a cat. Occasionally they have games which have a much higher prize, this usually involves registering with other sites though. As a site its easy to navigate, very quick to load up, and adds a few smidgens of excitement to the day, but only once, cos once you have played you have to wait until tomorrow. And the big question, how many times have I won? Err, never, not even an Amazon voucher, not even a sausage, I'm sure some people must win. When reading other peoples opinions they have told of winning a voucher or £20 but nothing higher. Do these larger cash prizes actually exist, I know tombola say they do, they even out names on the website. But James Smith from Birmingham doesn't really answer my questions. So come on, if you have won a goodly amount of money, identify yourselves, not you Mr Wear, I know you're telling porkies!! So don't expect to become a big cash prize winner for nothing, but its a nice bit of entertainment whilst you're perusing all the opinions. Not that anyone is reading this bit, they've all dashed off to tombola.com!
I’m not sure how I ended up on tombola.com but somehow I did, probably a year and a half ago. Since then I’ve played on and off when I’ve got bored at work, or when I’m feeling lucky, but to this day I have not won a penny. Zilch. Absolutely nothing. But I still keep playing….. Click onto tombola.com and you’ll be presented with their international homepage. You can chose to come from the USA, the UK, Germany, France, Spain or the rest of the world, or you can go straight to the UK page my typing uk.tombola.com to start with. Navigating the site is simple: there’s a column permanently down the left hand side which lists the games on offer (see below) plus links to the log in page, pages about the site and so on. The colour scheme throughout is a simple, non-confrontational yellow and red – nice and appealing without being in your face. You have to log in before you can play a game, either by clicking on the “log in” link or by selecting a game to play, since both take you straight to the log in page. There isn’t a “register/sign up” link, but if you’re new, follow the log in instructions and you’ll soon come across the new member’s link. Signing up takes only a few minutes – you need an email address (which becomes your user name), password and permanent address (for when (if?) you win). Tombola.com is not a tombola, virtual or otherwise. There are no barrels to spin and screwed up raffle numbers to pick. Instead there are a number of games, which change from time to time. The one thing they all have in common though, is the need for luck. *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* The 5 games on the site at the moment are: HAMSTER RACE Just as you’d expect from a title like that, this is the place to see hamsters slugging their guts out to get to the other side of the finishing line. It’s a bit like the ho
rse races you get in amusement arcades, where for 10p you can bet on various colours winning the race - and it’s almost always number 1 or 2 which only pay out 10p anyway. You are assigned hamsters that will come in 1st and 2nd, but you can’t choose them. Not really an interactive game as such, more a click the button and see what happens. If your 1st place hamster comes 1st you win a 5 GBP Amazon voucher, and if both your specified hamsters come in their assigned places, you win 1000 GBP. Needless to say this doesn’t happen very often. The hamsters aren’t that cute to look at (and have odd names – Hammy, Spike, Patch, Max, Tiny and Stripe) and the whole arena now seems to have been taken over by Paddy Power, a bookmaker who sponsor this game - at the end you’re offered a free 10 GBP bet with them, but only after you’ve signed up the same amount of your own money. Not my personal favourite. HANG ON In this game, you’re confronted with 8 blobby monster things hanging on to balloons. You burst these by clicking on them, and in doing so reveal a cash amount, ranging from 1000 GBP to a 5 GBP Amazon voucher (not really cash then). If you get 3 of the same one, you win that amount. All the fun of popping balloons without the terrible bang :-) SPIN TO WIN This is set up like a typical one-arm bandit amusement arcade machine. You click on the window to spin, and if you get a line (horizontally, vertically or diagonally) you win. Prizes range from 5000 GBP to, surprise surprise, a 5 GBP Amazon voucher. I SCRATCH A bit like the cards that fall out of magazines along with loads of other junk inserts, this is a scratch game with a difference. There are 9 panels to scratch (click the left button on your mouse and drag it back and forth over each a few times) and if you uncover 3 matching ones you win – again, 5000 GBP to 5 GBP Amazon. Although the game itself stays the sa
me, the theme varies, from dinosaurs to animals to toys for example. FETCH The only game that doesn’t operate on the tombola site, click on the name and you’re taken over to lycos to play. If the animated dog catches the animated Frisbee you “throw” by clicking the button, it gets added to the pile. If he catches 3 of the same colour you win. Usually 8 Frisbees are thrown, with 5 or 6 being caught. The rest, the dog misses (and goes sprawling on his tummy) or they get stuck up in the lovely animated tree or, erm, turn into flying saucers complete with little green men, which then disappear. *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* None of the games require, or even allow skill. They are all preprogrammed games of luck, and the only participating required on your part if the clicking of a button. You can play as many times as you want each day, but the games and results remain the same for your user name. From day to day though these do change, so you’ve 35 chances a week to win. On the site you can find a list of the winners from previous days – yesterday, for example, 15 people won. Of those 15, 12 won 5 GBP vouchers, 2 won 20 GBP and one 50 GBP. The odds are obviously not all that great - 15 winners out of a whole country mean that the chances of it being you are pretty slim, but hey, someone has to win, don’t they? Of all the gaming sites on the net, this is one of the ones I prefer. The advertising, although present, is not OTT, and there are very rarely pop ups. All the games are easy to play (unless you haven’t figured out how to use your mouse yet hard) and the animation is nice and friendly. There are no costs involved on your part, so unless you get paid millions per second for output at work, there are worse ways to spend a couple of minutes a day. *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* Extra Stuff : The site claims to have given away more than £1 500
Tombola is a free-to-play competitions website that was set up in 2000. The competitions are a few number of small games (usually about 5 or 6), run on Java or Flash Macromedia. So in other words you will need to have Java and flash to play the games on Tombola. The games on Tombola are very simple, and sometimes quite funny with all their cartoony graphics. In each game there are varying denominations of money you can win, but usually these denominations are of £5, £20, £50, £100 or £200, £500 and £5000. As said above there are usually 5 or 6 games available to play at one time, and these games change over a length of time. THE CURRANT GAMES: ********************* 1) I:Scratch: Probably the most popular game ever on Tombola, probably because it's just so simple, and very similar to a Lottery Scratchard. All you have to do is rub all the nine panels, match 3 symbols and you've won the prize associated with that symbol. The I:Scratch gamecards all have varying themes, like The Wild West, The Valley of the Kings, A Fairground, etc. 2) Hamster Race: Hamster Race is just basically like a Horse Race. You receive a ticket with a 1st and 2nd Hamster placing on it, out of all the nine hamsters. You start the race, and if the 1st placed Hamster (the winner) is the one on your ticket you win £5, but if the 1st and 2nd placed hamsters after the race are the ones on your ticket you win £1000. There is no prize for your ticket only to match the 2nd placed hamster. Watching the hamsters race is hilarious, I sometimes wonder if they are retarded. 3) Hang On!: I don't know quite what to say about this game. Well, in this game there are nine 'alive' blobs clutching on to balloons floating in the air, you click on the balloon to pop it, and once you've done so the blob falls to the ground and a cash value appears. Once you've popped all nine balloons, if you have 3 matching cash
values you win that sum of money. 4) Spin-To-Win This game resembles a slot machine, where on this slot machine there are nine reels. To spin a reel you click on it and it reveals a normal slot machine symbol like a Cherry, Bar, Jackpot symbol, etc. This game is slightly different whereas it's not match 3 symbols to win the prize associated with that symbol, instead it's match 3 symbols horizontally, vertically or diagonally to win the prize associated with that symbol. 5) Fetch 3: This game is played on the Lycos website, and includes Lycos' famous dog. In this game you release different coloured Frisbees and hope that the Lycos dog catches them, and doesn't get distracted in various ways. If the dog catches 3 same-coloured Frisbees then you win a prize. These games were correct at date of writing which was: 13/08/02. Each day from 8:00 GMT you will receive a new card for each game, so therefore there are 5 chances of winning every day. And whenever you win £5, you receive it in a form of an Amazon.co.uk voucher. Tombola is excellent as I think there is a greater chance of winning on this site then on others, as I have won twice in the last 8 months, the games are quirky, the website layout is excellent and it's referral program, play-mates, is even better. With Play-Mates if you refer someone and they play and win, you win the same amount as they did, just for referring them. So the more you refer, the greater the chance of winning you have. Tombola only takes 5 minutes to play each day, and it is worth it, as I can vow for. Tombola, in my opinion is the best competition website on the net. But unfortunately if you are under 18 you can?t play. From reading my opinion, I do hope you understand how the games work, as I had a minor case of writer's block in writing this opinion.
Over the past year I estimate I have spent about 30 hours playing the games on www.tombola.com and have I won anything? I think not!!!! Well it may seem like an abhorrent waste of time but it only takes up 5 minutes a day and there is the promise of free money at the end of it, something we students aspire to. For those that don’t know, tombola is an online competition/games site. It offers you the chance to play online scratch cards and slot machines and win proper cash prizes with no cost to you! When you visit the site make sure you’re wearing your sunglasses, it’s lovely and bright – lots of red and yellow – very attractive. You have all the links to the games running down the left hand side of the opening page whilst the games that you load up take up the centre and right hand areas. The site’s really easy to navigate, if I can do it then so can you. There are no dead links to get on your goat and its all very accessible. I should also point out that I use university computers to access the site so it all whizzes onto the screen quick smart. Unfortunately on a slower 56k Modem some of the games like ‘I-scratch’ will take a good few minutes to load up, still what busy site doesn’t suffer a little bit from slow loading? The sign-up process is easy as pie, they don’t ask for too much in the way of personal information. They ask for all the usual stuff like home address and date of birth and they do require a valid email address but I haven’t experienced any kind of SPAM because of it. You’re also going to have to be over 18 to join otherwise they can’t send you the lovely lolly if you win! There are three main games that have remained constant on the site throughout the year; ‘I-Scratch’, ‘Fetch’ and ‘Hamster Race’. ‘I-Scratch’ is basically an online scratch card. Your cursor is turned into a
giant coin and is used to scratch off nine panels behind which reside funny little pictures, as in real life, match three pictures and you win a prize. The prizes range from a £5 Amazon voucher to a whopping great £5000. It will usually work out that you get two of each icon then some random one so you never actually win. Once the game is played then a little advert for another game or a different site will flash up – obviously where tombola makes most of it’s money. ‘Hamster Race’ is a bit of a chuckle, and is really simple. On your screen you are presented with eight adorable little hamster like things, at the top of your screen a randomly selected choice of which hamsters will finish first and second appear. You press the little button to start the hamsters running across your screen and can sit back for a minute and watch the little tykes hobble their way to the finish line. In the unlikely event that your choices do come in the positions selected then you win a prize. I’m not sure what it is, I never win so I’ve never checked, it’s probably a fairly hefty lump sum. Of all the three main games ‘fetch’ is the one that I feel most likely to win, although I still haven’t managed it. It’s powered by Lycos and offers the same prizes as ‘I-scratch’. The game involves the trademark Lycos Labrador who has to catch Frisbees of a varying value, if the little doggy catches all three of the same value then you win, never happens though! Still it only takes a minute to play and is by the far the most entertaining as the little black dog gets distracted by a sexy little poodle or just falls over in rather comical manner. There are plenty of other games as well but they tend to vary from month to month so it isn’t worth me giving a run down of each of them. There are also some little additions to the site that keep me hooked, even though I never seem to win. T
here is a refer a friend system where you can, rather surprisingly, invite a friend to become a member. Once your friend has signed up and become your ‘playmate’ you are entitled to some cash when they win. Additionally there is a page where you can see who has won prizes each day, they’re probably made up but it does just make me believe that one day I might be in with a chance. I know I’ve never won anything on Tombola and I’ve be playing for over a year but I do enjoy playing the games and having a chuckle at the Hamsters. Somewhere inside my head is the hope that one day I will be lucky and win something big but if not I’m sure something smaller is bound to come my way sooner or later. Look at it this way, it’s not costing you anything and it only means 5 minutes less time on dooyoo.
My opinion of the word tombola is that even if you get a crap prize, you still get a prize. I have been playing for over a year and have never won anything. I have heard stories from people who have and I know that the prizes do get won. I must have jinxed the site or something and it doesn't like me. The main games of the site are I-Scratch which is a scratchcard with nine panels to be scrated off. You get one of these per day and the chance to win from a £5 voucher to £5000. Even the voucher would be nice at the moment. Then there is hamster race, which is six hamsters who race and if the two who have been picked for you come in second and first place then you have won something. I am not sure what. Probably a share of a prize. Then there is hang on a game where you have to burst some creatures balloons and the ammounts fly out of them and land in a grid. If you get three of the same ammount then you have won that ammount. You can also play, cash fro questions and prizelines, these are from Lycos and another company and can win you money. personally i am beginning to think that it is a myth and that no one has really won anything. Oh, well, theres always tomorrow, and tomorrow and tomorrow....
