Advantages: Keeps me busy/amused/whatever
Disadvantages: I spend waaay too much time on here...
I spend far far far too much time on the internet, as illustrated by the following list!
1. Uni websites, i.e. the intranet for messages from course administrators, library closure notices etc, blackboard to print out lecture notes and messages from lecturers. Although blackboard is annoying because it hardly ever works from Internet explorer and you have to go back into it through firefox. And of course webmail.
2. www.dooyoo.co.uk
What more can I say??
3. Justor, sage, etc! For those who don't have the joy of hunting for journal articles, they are journal library type things. Although I must say I do like the search box inside artictles to search for a keyword in the article!
4. Amazon.co.uk
For DVD's and CD's! And the occasional course textbook!
5. www.waterstones.co.uk
For browsing books and textbooks and other things I can't afford but are essential!!
6. www.cosmopolitan.co.uk
I love the forums! It's really easy to find products and stuff, because people recommend the best things they've found and people reply really quickly! Plus I love the celebrity gossip... :-s
7. www.handbag.com! For pretty much the same reasons as the cosmo website!
8. Facebook.com
But I'm losing interest in facebook! Now I only really use it to message friends that live abroad, and to look at the photos that my friends and housemates put up of our nights out!
9. Ebay.
I love ebay for cd's, sheet music, and guide badges that my sister collects.
10. Hairdressing websites! So I can find pictures for my next haircut! And I just like looking at some of the wacky ones that make me giggle...
Summary: I spend waaay too much time on here...
