Misleading and most certainly not the cheapest place to buy a holiday
Author Name: Gennene Gerrard
Advantages: Get to mix and match the flights and hotel
Disadvantages: The price at the end was £60 (each) less than what I paid and it was only a £275 (each) holiday!
My partner and I were looking for a nice city break that wasn't going to break the bank do eventually decided on barcelona. When booking the deal on travelrepublic it looked great and although not quite the cheapest we were happy with what we had chose (as you chose your flight times and hotel yourself) and confirmed the 'final price' at the end. The flights stated low cost airline £40 each so £80 got the both of us. However this was not what came out my account or indeed what I paid. The flights actually cost £220 for the both of us in the end as the flights were with Ryan air and there was admin charge upon admin charge! When I called to complain and explained the situation they knew all the admin charges off hand and said that there was small print stating my contract was now with Ryan air and I should take it up with them. My issue is that if they know the prices off hand why is it not stated in the overall price. I'm was not happy with the level of customer service I received and I would definitely not use them again. I will be sticking to lastminute.com for any of my last minute Internet booking holidays as the price they state is what you pay.
Summary: Very misleading website to buy holidays. Would never use again
