Unhelpful and Unwilling to do their job

Advantages: Good prices/ Easy to use website with a fantastic filter system.
Disadvantages: Bad Customer service/ Unreliable/ you don't always get the holiday you paid for!
We found the staff at Travel Republic unhelpful and unwilling to do their job. We had a problem with our hotel were they didn't have the room that we had booked and paid for via Travel Republic. After two phone calls to Travel Republic and fights with the reception staff the hotel agreed to let us stay the first night. The person we spoke to promised us they would phone us back in the morning we waited around till 1pm and still no phone call, when we phoned we were put though a very annoying posses of confirming that it was ok to talk to the person who wasn't the lead contact on the trip when the 5 previous phone calls this had not been brought up it just seemed to add more stress and annoyance to an already stressful situation. Every time we phoned we were told they would call back, we waited 3- 5 hours for the call's that NEVER came. Every time we called we spoke to a new person a felt like we were had to start the posses of sorting out the mess again, there seemed to be very little communication with-in Travel Republic, no notes about our previous phone calls were passed on eventually we did get one phone call from the woman that was supposed to be sorted out our case but she only told us exactly the same information that a guy had told us 40 minutes prior when we had phoned, again just adding more annoyance. We felt stranded in a foreign country not knowing from one day to the next if we would have a bed to sleep in that night. Eventually after 3 day of a ruined holiday we got confirmation they we could stay in the hotel for the 8 days like we had booked in the first place and could finally start enjoying our holiday 3 days later than we had expected to. What amazes me that though out all our phone call no one from Travel Republic ever apologized for the inconvenience caused at the start of our holiday, we didn't care who's fault it was or why the problem had occurred in the first place all we wanted was a sympathetic ear at the end of a phone, that lived up to their promise and phoned us back, had this been the case I may considered using Travel Republic again but I can honestly tell you you've lost my return custom.
Summary: I wont be using Travel Republic Again
