Use a different supplier!!!!! Failed me and left me out of pocket!

Advantages: None, they offer no assistance, go direct to supplier, or Use onthebeach or teletext instead!
Disadvantages: If anything goes wrong, you are left worse off with the pieces
Worst travel company I have ever dealt with!
Booked flight direct with supplier (as cheaper) and all inclusive hotel through TRAVEL REPUBLIC...MISTAKE!!!
Less than 2 weeks before my holiday, travel republic sent me an e-mail telling me my hotel was no longer
available, and that I could eithe be refunded (but then I have flights and no accom!) or book another hotel at today's prices (twice as much as when I booked) or accept the substitute hotel in another far away resort!
This was my only plausible option because of the lack of notice,
my problem with this was that I could have booked this hotel for a lot less when I made my original booking...
so I was left out of pocket, at an inferior hotel which I had paid over the odds for, in a resort that I did not want to be in!
And just to add insult to injury,Travel Republic would not offer to refund the difference, or a discount voucher, or even offer a room upgrade (as I had paid more) or even let me speak to their supplier.
Worst company I have ever dealt with, terrible customer service, ther just do not care.
I have had this happen before, but with a different company who offered me a superior hotel, and a nice discount on my next booking.
...Will not be using travel republic ever again.
Summary: This company is a broker for smaller suppliers...but they offer no security/help if they fail!!
