Stellar holiday package provider!
Author Name: Alex
Advantages: simplicity, helpful, value, good customer service
Disadvantages: no phone numbers for airline/transfer in booking confirmation
Booked a one-week holiday to Funchal, Madeira with TravelRepublic and am very happy with their service. Upon booking, one of their customer service agents phoned to make sure everything was in order and to answer any questions I might have. Within a few hours, individual confirmation emails were sent out for the flight booking/transfer/hotel/insurance, each with respective confirmation numbers and necessary information (flight numbers/times, details of joining instructions for hotel transfer, accomodation booking details). Links to websites were provided, but phone numbers for the airline/transfer company should be included in the email in case of a sudden query arising. TravelRepublic's contact details are readily available of course.
We stayed at the Pestana Promenade and booking through TravelRepublic gave us the option of having half-board at our hotel of choice (room-only, bed and breakfast, and/or all inclusive options were also available), at a very reasonable price, much to our convenience and satisfaction as the hotel's buffet was excellent; as reviews suggested.
Private transfer company A2B met us at the airport and arranged a suitable pick up time to meet our return flight.
Flights booked with Monarch were hassle-free (though as with most bookings made as a package deal/via a travel agency or tour company, online check-in is not available so allow for sufficient time to check-in at the airport).
A range of insurance options available, purchased but not needed (thankfully!).
I'd definitely recommend TravelRepublic.
Summary: First booking, will definitely book through TravelRepublic again.
