Advantages: Quick, Good Prices, User Friendly Website, Realiable
Disadvantages: Administration Charges at Early Stage
Overall the experience of using Travel Republic has been good.
The site is fairly easy to use and find good deals. The whole process of booking a holiday once you have decided on a destination and or deal takes only about 20 minutes. The way in which the choices of rooms available under the particular hotel you are booking are laid out clearly and in a user friendly way. The additional extras such as transfers, insurance, baggage payments where applicable, hire car options are easy to add to your holiday order and what your paying for each item is clear, with the overall price displayed before final purchase. The prices for holidays are reasonable, I actually compared the price of my holiday at the exact same resort for the same time, with flights from the same company and airport against another online company and Travel Republic were £500 cheaper.
I did not encounter any issues with flights, hotel bookings or transfers while traveling to and from my holiday destination, therefore I can not fault the reliability of Travel Republic. I was impressed by the A2B private transfer, I paid £18 for a private taxi which took us from the airport to our resort (which was a 1 hour 30 minute drive away) and back again on our return date. Also provided us with a company rep, who came to the hotel to arrange our pick up time to come home and advised us on tours, places of interest on the island. Ultimately I would recommend Travel Republic to others and may well use them again in the future
One gripe I have with Travel Republic, which arose from entering a shortened version of my forename when booking the holiday. I entered Ben rather than Benjamin as my name, which for flight purposes was incorrect as names must be exact with passports (apparently, although I actually doubt a big deal would have been made of it, as clearly it is widely known Ben and Benjamin are the same name, essentially). I noticed the fault less than 48 hours after booking the holiday and informed Travel Republic of this. Baring in mind at this stage my passports were not even entered onto my flights with the airline company and my flight was not for another 3 months. Travel Republic still insisted on charging a £20 'administration' charge, despite the fact I failed to see where the administration was. Clearly this minor alteration at such an early stage was not inconveniencing the airline nor Travel Republic and would have been simply a few clicks of the mouse/keyboard to alter. As well this alternation took in excess of 10 days to be resolved. However, I was always able to contact the customer service centre without any problems. To say I was annoyed by this charge is an understatement, hence why I have given 4/5 stars.
Summary: No major problems
