He kept me waiting there for a long period of time but eventually told me again that he had no tickets for me and that I therefore ... more |

The contents of the letter below was sent Jayne Sharratt, Customer Relations Dept,Travel Select on the 10th of November 2002. At the time of writing this report (20th December 2002) I have yet to receive a reply or my money back . It has also proved impossible to contact TravelSelect by phone. FOLLOWING MY OWN EXPERIENCES DETAILED BELOW I WOULD ADVISE PROSPECTIVE TRAVELLERS TO HAVE NO DEALINGS WHATSOEVER WITH THIS UNPRINCIPLED FIRM OF TRAVEL AGENTS. However, for personal reasons I wanted to travel with Olympic Airways and that's why I chose to book a ticket directly from the Internet. Note that this was the first time I chose the "impersonal" way of ticket reservation through a ... Read the complete review

Travelselect.com is an online flight booking service, in general. Basically, you key in dates etc, and it comes up with the cheapest options, but the thing that makes it an improvement on some other flight booking websites, is that there is a very handy button which says 'show available flights', which means you don't have to trawl through all the cheap flights and when you get to the one you want, find that it is 'unavailable on the dates you wish to travel but we can offer you a flight £300 more if you like'. I've found that my dealings with them (and I've bought a couple of flights through them) to be efficient and it worked! They ... Read the complete review
