Trivago is yet another review site that allows you to make a bit of extra cash from writing. It is an excellent travel web-site offering a reviews of an enormous number of hotels and tourist attractions from all over the world, with a useful search facility. It is certainly a good place to do your research when booking a holiday, but I shall review the web-site more from the perspective of its community and money-making opportunities. Trivago is rather different to other review web-sites in that they publish the amount of revenue that they have received (from the sale of accommodation via booking partners etc.) during the month, and how much of it you are ... I have recently rediscovered trivago and I wanted to let everyone know about it. So trivago has been around since 2005, but it seems that it has only been over the last couple of months that the features of the website have really improved and the information provided is really cohesive. At the end of last year trivago had a re-launch and the hotel price comparison has improved as well as the search features. Why am I using trivago? I have been a member of trivago for around a year now, but I only use it every now and then to book hotels for work and pleasure and review my trips afterwards. At the beginning I always used trivago to ... Read the complete review

The purpose of this review is to bring an up-to-date perspective as it seems like no one has written about trivago on ciao for a couple of years and a lot of things have changed since then. About trivago Trivago has been around since 2005 and is an online community of travellers that upload reviews and pictures for just about place in the world. There is also a possibility to book hotel rooms on the site (which I haven't really investigated yet). Trivago gets commissions from all of the hotel bookings through the site, of which 50% are distributed among the trivago members every month. You don't have to be a member in order to read the reviews and ... Read the complete review

A personal, if somewhat negative review, which I know many of you may disagree with. I foolishly joined Trivago late last year by way of Elspeth, a lovely lady who writes on Ciao. Initially I thought it sounded like a very good site and yet another place to earn a little pocket money. Well it shows you how wrong you can be doesn't it. There are many reviewers on here and Ciao who seem to thrive on Trivago but I know of at least a couple of others who have been disappointed. Let me give a few details and you can decide. Joning Trivag is pretty much the same as joining any of these review sites. However I did find the site a little tricky at first. ... Read the complete review

Ladies and Gentlemen, my name is Koshkha and I am a (mostly) reformed review site addict. I had it bad – really bad. I was logging on at all hours of the day or night, wandering through life with a head full of review ideas, seeing every thing that happened to me, everything I bought, everything I ate, and everywhere I went as source material for my next fix/review. A bunch of good ratings and nice comments would send me up for the day and a nasty revenge rate or spiteful comment could bring me straight back down again. Things were getting pretty desperate. Like an alcoholic I’m maybe only a few reviews away from slipping back into the habit but I think I ... Read the complete review
