uci-cinemas.co.ukNewest Review: ... as your local and always go to that page on every visit. The listings are pretty comprehensive and break it down over the week. At the forefront is what is showing on that day. You can then click on a day of the week and you will be given the showing times for each film that day. If you click on the film title you are take to another page. These pages contain brief information about the film as well the BBFC rating, the runtime, current show times and normally there’s a link to the official website. Each showing time also links to UCI’s online booking system. The initial page you’ll see will tell you what screen the film is showing and w... more |

In years gone by if you wanted to know what was on at your local fleapit, then you had to pick up a copy of your local newspaper. The alternative was to call a cinema phone line and be kept on hold for ages listening to someone drone on about what time Police Academy 6 was on. But now times are modern and we have information at our fingertips. It was a logical progression that cinemas would go online and post all their cinema listings. The UCI website is the first place to go if you want to see a film during the week. On the homepage you can select what cinema you want to go to. The site will then remember it as your local and always go to that page on every ... Read the complete review

UCI is the best local cinema to me anyway, we have an Odeon and some others, but nothing really compares to the UCI. Fortunately their website is also a cut above anything similar I can think of. The website is crammed full of film info, although don't go on there expecting to find reviews, what you see about each film is usually a description making each film sound superb. It's like you might read from the back of a video, none the less it lets you know what a film is about and who's in it if your unsure. The website offers the user a chance to sign up for UCI's weekly newsletter which is basically a film list with descriptions for new ... Read the complete review

Our local UCI cinema opened a year ago today and I have been going there ever since. Their website is pretty good. The layout is simple and despite other opniion you can read the text is easy to read with yello against dark blue background. If you register witht the site then it will automatically tailor itself to your local cinema with fuilms playing and showtimes. This save you having to browse for your location. When you register you can also choose to have films and showtimes e-mailed to you each week. This is great for planning your weekend although I will say sometimes you won't get this e-mail until after opening friday. There's a good section which gives ... Read the complete review

After receiving some free UCI cinema tickets from a website, I decided to find out what films are currently showing and at what times. The nearest UCI cinema to me is approximately 10 miles away, and the times are not shown in our local newspaper. I thought that should be a website for UCI Cinemas, so tonight decided to have a look. I found it straight away, but on first impressions, it didn't look very helpful at all. On the home page all the main lettering is bright yellow and you can't read it. You have to practically put your face up against the screen to read what it says!! The main headings are "now & Soon", ... Read the complete review

This site is well-organised, easy-to-use and relatively attractive. If you want to find out what's on at your local cinema, it's not at all difficult. That's the best recommendation I can give really. All of the phone numbers and location details for your chosen cinema are there, and you can subscribe to a weekly email service to get cinema times for your nearest cinema. All of the extras are OK - there's usually a competition, and there's an OK page of films coming soon. What is missing are any really useful tools: the links are hopeless, and the 'reviews' of currently showing movies are bland press-release pap. It's completely ... Read the complete review
